had a buddy whos entire personality was built around a 15ish foot long reticulated python he got as a present when he was like 8. lol we fed it anything, he even fed it baby goats, anything the size of a thanksgiving turkey was game. it was fucking brutal sometimes, but never as brutal as my nile monitor who grabbed anything that moved, grinded it on the ground and walls and then waited a week for it to rot then eat it, bro goku was metal af.

my best friend in high school had a 16' reticulated python that we fed a baby pig to every month or so. His dad did something with Reptiles at a local reptile zoo and obtained it when my friend was a baby. Very cool snake.

I fail to see how that’s relevant in any way. Nile monitors don’t require live rabbits, and with their blunt crushing teeth they are a far cry from something like a croc or lace monitor which predominately eat mid-large sized mammalian prey in the wild
id like to add that live isnt necessary, i could leave like a lb of canned tuna and he would only be intereseted in it if it was still in opened cans. weird right? again for balance live, so they can kill and smush it everywhere and wait for it to rot before they eat it is way more natural, and stinky.
