        the universe hates life
        it doesn't want universal love
        it doesn't want any emotion
all of entropy tends towards ending all life processes.

if god is real and created this world, he created earth in his image, but life was a mistake, and he's working to exterminate it gracefully. god is actually a giant stone marble with a magma core and some cool chemical substances adhering to and floating around him. he considers lifeforms parasites and cyanobacteria was what first made him start working to wipe it out so it would never arise again.

entropy tends towards the dissipation of all matter until nothing exists, which leads to the idea circumstances for another big bang. id bet my rib that its all cyclical.

Our lives are built upon death, we are surrounded by the death of life and it is only that eternity of death the allows us to be for a insignificant fraction of time. we have but a tiny envelope of existence that doesn’t even compare to a miniscule fraction of the infinitely tiny sliver of habitability that gave rise to the tragedy of nature. We either wait to die realising the mistakes we made or have our life taken, or take it ourself, before we get a chance to decide, no, this isn’t the universe where perception is valued above darkness, we are but a lost traveller that has been unfortunate to find themselves under a sliver of a beacon in a sea of shining perterberence.

Because windspeed is only half of the equation when rating it.
The Enhanced Fujita scale assigns the tornado a value based on wind speed, and the damage it leaves behind.

Worst moment of my life to be honest. Never thought being kicked out would lead to I and my family experiencing the 2016 F4 Abilene tornado when they were visiting.

    >Got kicked out at 18 for being a neckbeard in 2008.
    >I was doing pretty nasty stuff, I don't blame them.
    >Almost sold pictures of relatives panties online.
    >Left porn open on my PC.
    >Other weird shit I'm not proud of.
    >Heard my sisters boyfriend discussing with my parents about marriage in the other room.
    >Conversation shifted over to me. >Basically got called a waste of time and recourses.
    >Discussion about kicking me out, and my sister and her boyfriend can have my room.
    >Went into a rage and confronted them.
    >Turned into a physical fight after my mom pretty much said she wish she never had me.
    >Got thrown to the ground and got knocked out.
    >Found myself at a homeless shelter.
    >Attempted to call my parents to get back home.
    >Numbers had been changed.
    >Walked across town at dusk and finally got home.
    >Knocked, and moments later the police arrived.
    >Got dragged away as they looked through the windows.
    >Got dropped off at a homeless shelter a town over.
    >Got told to leave them alone else my ass is going to jail.
    >Left San Diego months later because California's economy is shit.
    >With the economic state California's in I legitimately could not find a job.

Even though they contacted me first, I personally just wanted to see how everyone was doing. At the time I didn't have a reliable vehicle to go back to California, or even their phone numbers to say hi. I was alone in the dark if I tried to find them, and already thought they'd have moved to avoid me, so I was gearing up to toss my phone out and just give up and start anew. They were able to contact me because my sister was cleaning out storage and found her old IPhone 2, which had my number. Another reason they contacted me was that dad had contracted some type of "life-threatening" cyst and thought it'd be best to let me know. I decided to mend our relationship because I thought I'd be an butthole just telling them that It sounds like their problem if he dies.

I had later found out that the cyst had developed because he didn't go to the doctor to get it checked. He was in the hospital for weeks getting pumped full of medicine because he had waited to the last second to go to the hospital. Because of this, he almost died.

nah, even if you live in one of the tornado alleys you're still highly unlikely to ever get a direct hit from a tornado, then you factor in that the majority of tornadoes(60-70%) are F0 or F1s which will not generally destroy a house, at worst you have some minor damage(blown out windows or roof damage) that insurance will take care of. You usually don't start seeing major structural damage until the higher end F2 tornadoes or even low end F3s

I think the Smithville EF5 tornado was the most violent. It obliterated large well-built brick homes so violently that their slabs shattered and tiles were scoured and plumbing was shredded. It also obliterated a large well-built funeral home so violently that brick left power behind on the slab.

I have an alternative plan which no one has ever heard off. Stop building large metropolitan areas in places where the fricking environment has a habit of annihilating them. Stop building on flood plains next to rivers. Stop building major cities on Earthquake fault lines and stop putting ships in areas with high erosion. It really isn't that difficult.

you have to realize everything in america is built as cheap as possible, as fast as possible. there's no pride taken in works here, developers just churn through lots. and people eat it up because they want a place to call their own. who cares if the concrete foundation starts cracking 3 years in, the developers will be long gone by then. also the average american moves like an average of 4 times in their lives. people are constantly moving

I think that storm surveys need to be standardized because it seems that some NWS offices are more willing to rate tornadoes that have done violent damage EF4 or EF5 while others seem to not be as willing like nitpicking a house clearly destroyed at EF5 intensity and swept clean as having been hit by debris that weakened it and other bullshit like that.

Tornado chasing seems like hunting demons in 40k
You read the signs and probably rules for behavior and formation as a skyscraper sized demon forms out of the energy. Maybe it shows up or maybe it doesn’t and maybe it follows the rules or maybe it wrecks your shit

Tornadoes are far from the worst Wauf way to die, like you probably just get flung somewhere and die instantly, right? Yet they're so primally terrifying to me.

You could get some object hit you at high speed or you could hit an object at high speed. Imagine a large piece of wood as thicker than your thigh penetrate you through your balls like if there were a pussy there all the way to your side. The wood block the arteries so you won't die from blood loss leaving you there immobilized by the wounds, pain and weight of the piece of wood. Probably still better than being eaten alive by a bear... or maybe not, with the bear you expect to die sooner or later but with the wood you could stay like that for a long time.

Or just get ground down into nothing like victims of the 1997 Jarrell tornado. An F5 that moved at a walking pace, acting like a giant blender, people had to be identified via fingers and dental records.

My school actually got a bunch of kids from Jarrell after that happened. They said there was just nothing left of the place and as I got older I assumed that was just an exaggeration.. But no that entire town was wiped off the map. As in "buildings had their foundations ripped out". There were spots that had their relative height to sea level re-measured because the tornado had ripped the fricking dirt up down to the limestone.

Jarrell wasn't a really big town. There were like 30 people living there at most.

              This threads all fricked up.
You're thinking of the subdivision (Double Creek) that got hit. A specific subdivision in a specific corner of the town got completely leveled, that's where the 27 people died and only 2 families lived by using ones underground shelter.
The actual full town itself had a population of around 410 in 1997. They also started trying to rebuild right away, and are at 2000 something now.

At that point it’s not really the wind doing the damage, it’s more like being blasted by a huge pressure wave from a bomb with shrapnel, except instead of only being exposed to the initial blast of shrapnel, you get pelted again and again, shards of your own bones eventually puncturing and fracturing the skeleton they originated from into further tiny fragments of tiny skeletons that further fragment into tiny dust skeletons until there is nothing of you but a thousand tiny windsocks of skelebones

youve never been hit by a roofing tile slung at high speeds
      or even something pine needles/cones
dont even think about shit like nails, gravel, screws, glass etc
They can also theoretically suffocate you through negative air pressure
And thats before you know, picking you up and slamming you into everything else in your vicinity in a whirl and death via blunt force trauma or throws you at the ground

Beyond getting impaled the far more likely scenario is you take shelter and then get stuck/buried in there and slowly die of shock or thirst or possibly drowning if there's damage to plumbing, waiting for rescue that doesn't know you're there. Or just crushed by the house you're in.
Then again that's a likely scenario in pretty much any natural disaster.

Imagine flying through the air being mangled by extremely forceful winds, while being shredded with flying metal and wood. Only before being thrown onto most likely concrete or more broken metal and wood and possibly surviving that to lay there and bleed out or experience organ failure.

I can only imagine what Native Americans first did when they witnessed one.
      >be native tribesmen
      >recently settled into these great, flat plains with the rest of the tribe
      >found lots of nice plants and other forage in these lands
      >dads out hunting right now with the rest of his group
      >children are running around camp
      >pretty cloudy day at the moment, sun hasn’t been visible for a couple hours
      >be at our teepee with mom trying to prepare it for the coming rain
      >a strong wind blows away some of our resources, but i catch them before they can fly off
      >it begins to lightly rain
      >after we finish, mom starts chopping some vegetables to put in a stew
      >i start sharpening the spear dad made for me so i can hunt with him tomorrow
      >hear a bunch of yelling in the distance
      >run over to the center of camp to see what’s going on
      >everyone is looking up
      >look up too
      >massive fricking spiral of wind has appeared and is descending from the sky
      >shaman starts running towards it with his staff
      >some minutes later we all watch as the spiral now touched down to the ground
      >shaman just fricking disappeared
      >small silhouette resembling him is then seen flying through the air and hitting the ground
      >holy shit
