>the air we breathe is mostly NITROGEN, not oxygen. >there's more "Argon" than CO2

>the air we breathe is mostly NITROGEN, not oxygen
>there's more "Argon" than CO2
wtf
I thought the air was like 80%/20% oxygen and CO2...
What the fuck I've been breathing Nitrogen all my life?

Jesus Christ I'm from a third-world shithole that has one of the worst educational systems in the world and I and my peers knows all this shit since we were literal kids.
    WTF is wrong with you?

    Good first step, anon.
    Now think about it.
Liberal 'Scientists' want you to believe that all life relies on oxygen, despite oxygen being a minority gas.
Despite the atmosphere being full of the readily available nitrogen. Which is a far less chemically aggressive gas than oxygen.
I'm sure you can see the agenda behind the 'Oxygen Hypothesis'.
    Open your mind, anon.

omg i thought carbon dioxide was the dominant gas because dirty humans cause so much of it.

Scuba divers have to pay attention to this. The nitrogen and oxygen are both poisonous if you breathe them at high enough pressure, we sometimes trade one for the other with custom mixes.

Congrats on realizing you are a dipshit. Now read up on why oxygen enriched atmospheres are dangerous.

Do you think it's worthwhile to breath only "pure" air (of regular composition) like out of a scuba mask in order to avoid breathing pollution? Before I also thought that breathing higher oxygen content would be beneficial but seems like it has some health risks.

My monkey brain is still telling me that doubling the oxygen content would help you think more clearly or feel good or something like that

No, breathing more oxygen isn't just better. A couple % higher is okay and can give you better physical performance, but doubling the oxygen is very bad for you. Oxygen is, an oxidizer, like bleach. Nitrogen (N2) stabilizes it pretty well. Too much oxygen will damage your respiratory tissue over time, and eventually lead to hypoxia ironically, as your lungs can no longer transport the O2 molecules to the circulatory system. Before then, you'll suffer nervous system damage. The effects of hyperoxia are well studied.

Check out the health studies on people who live at high altitude.

Oxygen is definitely has pros and conw with the cons outweighing the pros

There are oxygen bars, and hyperbaric therapy where they put you inside of a big tank that can be pressurized, and then pure oxygen is pumped in, and it creates and environment that speeds up healing of certain kinds of injuries.

What's really going to do your head in, life on earth arose in an anaerobic environment. No oxygen. When the first blue green algea evolved photosynthesis they began pumping out tons of oxygen, which was extremely lethal to everything and caused the single biggest mass extinction event in history known as the oxygen crisis.
The life that evolved were a few weird mutants with cellular respiration.
These two life forms are preserved in all animal and plant cells in mitochondria and chloroplast.

the guy made it most of the way through his life without learning the composition of air.

whatever you're trying to teach him will have to wait until his next life.

Recently notable I think Jay Leno went through this to help with his burns.

scuba tanks are just full of whatever air is inside the scuba shop that compressed the air into them
you never breath a higher than normal air partial pressure of oxygen when scuba diving

Sounds like you've definitely been missing out on oxygen, in any case.
