And neanderthals hunted mammoths. They should have been able to survive among dinosaurs.

A single bull african elephant could realistically take on a t.rex

I’m not sure that any currently living elephants are more dangerous than the ceratopsians that T-rex are as a staple diet. I’m not sure that they are stupid enough to tango with an elephant sized carnivore either, but one did derail a steam locomotive by headbutting it (and dying in the process) so maybe?

Watch how big a triceratops was. Also, it had much better positioned horns to skewer and still it got PWNED regularly..

An elephant could certainly put up a fight, but a Rex outweighed the average bull elephant by anywhere from 2 to 4 tons.

Yeah that's true but an enraged bull with intact tusks could fatally skewer the entire abdominal cavity.

T-rex and Giganotosaurus are too fricking big.

I think a Massive bull African elephant can take on Mapusaurus and Charcaradontosaurus.

I don't know man, I'm not going to bet against an angry bull elephant.
t-rex isn't agile enough to stay behind its the elephants legs.

I challenge thee to an arm's wrestling match!

It's arms are actually slightly larger than a human's, it only looks small because the rest of the body is 40 feet long.
Also, they probably used their arms for push ups so they might have been very strong.

        >It's arms are actually slightly larger than a human's, it only looks small because the rest of the body is 40 feet long.
The issue is that they do not bend like ours do. They can push out, claw down or grab around, but they cant stretch their arms back at all. If you could safely arm's wrestle a T-rex, a weak human would probably injure it in the process.

i remember a study saying their arms were surprising strong, each of them could move like 40lbs or something, not many people use 40lb dumbbells

I curl 40lb dumbbells and am not that big, trex could supposedly curl 200 in each wittle arm.

An aggressive enough elephant could absolutely kill a T. rex. Would probably get slain in the process though.

A t-rex vs elephant by mass alone is like an elephant vs a hippo, except the elephant is a predator with powerful jaws...

What can a T-Rex actually do though? If you hug its hind legs it can't reach you with its head, and its too sluggish to get away while you repeatedly pommel it from behind. If you stand to the side of its hind legs then it won't even be able to hit you with a back kick. If it raises its leg to perform a stomp then all you have to do is back off until it finishes its slam, then move back in to continue punching.
