Chinese tourists have been confirmed to go to national parks and purposely spread invasive species. Wouldn't surprise me if these fuckers were intentional bioterrorism.

I can tell you are someone who does not live in the contamination zone where these things are spreading. You rarely ever get to appreciate the "prettiness," most of the time they just look disgusting. And when they're massed together, it's even worse.

That seems to be the case with invasive insects that swarm. They temporarily take over and then die off as the ecosystem adjusts.

pretty much. since they have infinite food, herbivore insect populations are controlled by parasites and microbes more than anything else. eventually disease balances things out.

Actually looks like these things are planthoppers, not flies. So they can do botanical damage.

If these fuckers apparently love trees so much, why are they so common in the concrete urban jungle and not the forest? They even came on a shipment of stone.

    Look at this shit

because the concrete jungle is where the Chinese spread their diseased tree seed. Abandoned houses, dump pits, unmaintained turnpikes. Any vulnerable spot the Chinese can sprout their seed of sapping.
