Aren't bengal tigers much more dangerous than siberians?
Like I can see the argument that less food = more dangerous but that applies more to the polar bear than the siberian tiger
And in captivity the siberian tiger has one of the better tempraments for a big cat, after the lion, jaguar and cheetah

Unironically, another person. Everything on that list besides the shark is handled by technology, like a gun. Carry a big gun, stay out of the water, and don't trust people. World is no longer scary.

Part of technology is living in civilization away from man-eating beasts though. I don't think any outdoorsman would confidently go 1-v-1 against a 90lb mountain lion even with a firearm, to say nothing of a 400lb siberian.

    >1. Hippo
    Self explanatory
    >2. Polar bear
Most likely to attempt to eat you other than a crocodile. I know they’re not as aggressive as people seem to think but since this list is about how much they scare me they go here. Eaten alive is not a fun thought
    >3. Brown bear
Less likely to attack than polar bears, tigers, etc but for same reasons as above. Sloth bears also probably go here
    >4. Tiger
Quick death bothers me less even if they’re both highly predatory and aggressive unlike the bears which are either but not both
    >5. Lion
A pride is probably more dangerous than any of the other predators but for some reason scares me less
    >6. Great whites
Only place you’re encountering one is in the water, even if it’s not likely to attack you’re still entirely at its mercy
    >7. Crocodiles
If you’re in the water with one then they jump to number 1 with hippos. Only reason they’re this low is because they concern me so much that I’ll never go anywhere near a body of water where there’s crocs
    >8. Feral pigs
They’re only on the list because they’re the only one other than the sharks, dogs and crocs that are actually relevant to me
    >9. Black bears
I know they’re pussies, but a large black bear who has decided to be predatory is worse to encounter than your average brown bear
    >10. Pack of feral dogs, coyotes, dingos, etc
Could probably fend off a couple with a big stick but they’re only here because they’re something I might actually encounter

    >polar vs grizzly
A wild polar bear will 100% eat you if given the chance because food is so rare where they live and it's ALL meat. A grizzly usually only attacks if you're seen as a threat and many will frick off if you show you're not, much less likely to die. Polars are also bigger and their hunger is legendary. If you run into one and you have no cover, you're fricked. You are food and it wants you dead. Easily top of the list.

    >Siberian vs Bengal
Tigers mostly leave humans alone unless they're particularly hungry or you're a moron and do something to trigger their prey drive hard. Siberians are bigger and if one actually decides to take you out for real, you're fricked, but most won't. If I recall, the only ones that are confirmed regular man-eaters by choice are the tigers in the Sundarbans, which are a sub-population of Bengals. If we're judging "scary" on how likely you are to get killed and eaten, Bengals win it for that reason.

    >Nile croc vs hippo
Hippo all the way. The crocs have no problems snacking on humans along the banks, but hippos actively hunt and chase down people because they're territorial fricks in the water and they can easily outspeed an average human on land. Hippopotamus fatalities to humans regularly outnumber those of crocs by 2-3x annually.

    >cassowary
Aggressive and mean as hell if you don't respect their space, but you're probably not gonna die. They give you clear warnings if you're pissing them off, and most attacks happens because people are moronic and don't keep their distance. Intimidating but potentially a situation you can control far more than the others so far.

      >mountain lion
If you see the cougar then you're probably okay. They're the kind of cat that prefers ambush attacks and are very loathe to try if you're facing them. You're in the most danger if you DON'T see the cougar, but most avoid humans like the plague. Most attacks happen when people get too close to cubs and don't heed the parent's warning to get the frick away.

      >white shark
Pretty chill animals that don't hunt humans. Most "attacks" are mistaken identity or experimental bites. Tiger sharks would be a better fit since they will eat anything they can fit in their mouths and will happily chow down on a human without a second thought. Though they're not the best at digesting us; mysterious disappearances/murders have been solved more than once by a tiger shark burping up an arm.

      >African wild dog
Like great whites, they don't hunt people. You're very unlikely to get attacked by these unless they're truly starving or you're doing something they deem threatening, and in the latter case they'll usually leave off once you do. Lions are far more likely to attack and kill a human, and they do so regularly, and should be in this spot.

      New list:
      1. Polar Bear
      2. Bengal Tiger
      3. Hippopotamus
      4. Lion
      5. Nile Crocodile
      6. Tiger Shark
      7. Grizzly Bear

The enviromentalist lie that whites are chill or not dangerous has to fricking stop.
A white that wants you dead will leave no remains, you're eaten and gone, reported as "lost at sea" or "drowned" Many such cases.
In the cases where a white gave a "test" bite, it's usually from smaller sharks that are pensive about attacking an unknown creature close to its size. Even a love bite can be fatal, and probably a lot of people who "drowned" died from bloodloss and got ate after the fact anyway.
If a white is hunting you, you're in two pieces in between the thought of "gotta" and "piss" and your seperate parts gets promptly vored.
Just because some homosexual divers swim up to a white that isn't hunting doesn't mean they are friendly or not dangerous, it just means that it is A) not currently looking for a big meal. B) You're not in ambushing range. C) it is investigating something else.
Enough videos of surfers getting nommed that you can extrapolate from there the number of "drowned" surfers that just got ate and nobody were around to see/film it.

If there were as many people swimming in waters frequented by great whites as there are people by the river side, the statistic would change. Not to mention, when people go missing from a river known to have crocs, people assume a croc got them, when people go missing in the ocean, people assume they drowned.

No it wouldn’t. Generally speaking there’s more people crowding beaches than river banks anyways. You’re ten times safer swimming with a great white than you are with a saltwater croc even ignoring fatality stats

A lot of confirmed man eaters developed that behavior like during a plague when villagers tosses the bodies into the forest and a few big cats scavenger the bodies or say a precious bullet wound inhibited it’s ability to effectively hunt its nature prey.

Grizzlies or brown bears aren't really that aggressive and tend to avoid you. Shouldn't be in top 10.
However, polar bears and all the big cats, perhaps with the exception of leopards, will not fear you, and will try to murder you instantly.
Also there are some very aggressive venomous snakes, and lizards like the comodo dragon.
Also hyenas, orcas and a sneaky, tiny fricking box jellyfish appearing out of nowhere to cause you unbearable pain and death.
The ocean in general is a scary place.

      7) bull shark
      8) orca
      9) brown bear
      10) Komodo dragon

      >polar bears
The idea of polar bears as vicious murder machines is a meme. They are highly predatory but are also non-territorial, curious and timid. They are shockingly easy to dissuade from attacking for a half tonne predator, and are far more predictable and less bad-tempered than brown bears. It’s on full display when polar bears get the shit bullied out of them by manlet-rage barren ground grizzlies that are half their size
      >Komodo dragons
Komodos are good boys and are generally very placid. They’re usually pretty friendly in captivity but even in the wild they don’t mind you getting within like 10ft of them. The only thing scary about them is that getting eaten by one is the most gruesome death by any large predator. Komodo slander is deer propaganda

      >Hippopotamus fatalities to humans regularly outnumber those of crocs by 2-3x annually
This is 100% not true. Hippos will get aggressive if you cross their path or stay too long in their territory or whatever, but crocodiles hunt people for food, and are the only animals that do so without having to be pressured into it.

      >all the big cats, perhaps with the exception of leopards, will not fear you, and will try to murder you instantly.
Leopards have no problem attacking humans they're the most dangerous big cats behind tigers. Leopards regularly hunt gorillas in areas where their territory overlaps.
Jaguars are a different story. Evolution has shaped them to prefer undersized prey and they basically have no instinct towards humans. People I've seen that have tamed jaguars have them somewhere along the temprament of lions, behind cheetahs but ahead of the other big cats like tigers and cougars.
