Scandi mink farms

Here is a good example of why you should never let someone who doesn't speak English run your youtube account. Props for the upbeat acoustic guitar music throughout the life cycle of 1/50th of a fur coat.

Mink is shit. Not even half as warm as caribou.

Caribou can eat grass, straw, grain that’s not fit for human consumption. Mink eat fish. No matter what if a mink can eat a fish we can eat that fish.

It’s a losing proposition driven by the fashion industry and chinese customers rather than the need to keep warm. Like people who want to eat several pounds kf beef a day, but somehow worse. Most people with mink coats don’t need to keep warm at all. They live in mild climates. At least if you eat like a pig you’re staying alive.

      >No matter what if a mink can eat a fish we can eat that fish.

Did you see the fish they were feeding them? It was the leftover bits run through a grinder and made into a paste. Their really just recycling waste from fish processing plants and turning it into minks. The sterile, robotic, efficiency of it all is horrifying.

Not only this is fricking horrendous, it seems that some of these minks have escaped and outcompeted the European mink to near extinction.

Comments are all a bunch of hypocrites who don't understand those minks wouldn't exist without fur demand and were specifically bred for it, not captured in nature, and it would be wrong to kill them because they look cute which is childish
it's the same as the meat industry which they all consume from

Difference is meat eating is a selective advantage while mink are a luxury product. Meat eaters can produce essential nutrients from land that can only support short grass and bushes. Mink wearers are just too stuck up to farm wool. Meat animals can survive entirely off agricultural waste and plants inedible to humans. Mink are fed things that could realistically be used to sustain human life. Meat eating has been reserved for the upper class because it sustains life better. Mink wearing is priced to exclude the lower class because it is a colossal waste and therefore a sinful display of wealth, usually for people who aren't all that important, like bankers daughters.

Survival and strength are important. Any moron who gets lucky in the stock market can wear mink, and then the government can declare that the numbers on his screen no longer hold any real value.

If that's true everyone currently feeding livestock corn/soi is at a selective disadvantage and their civilization will collapse any moment from ravaging the land to produce more meat than anyone needs and make it affordable enough for people to buy more than they will ever need. they're turning a survival asset into a luxury product at the cost of a colossal waste (fertile agricultural land being used to support producing more meat than the population needs to survive)
        >If you're following a basic 2,000-calorie-per-day diet, for instance, you only need about 5 1/2 ounces of lean beef, pork or poultry to obtain all the nutritional benefits of meat.
        >americans: *eats 2 pounds of meat and 1-2 eggs every day*

        oh wait...that's true. RIP humanity.

Meat is also a luxury in that a human can survive on a vegan diet.

Is meat a more nutritious food? Yes it is, and in much the same way a goose down fill fur-lined coat makes for much superior winter wear than any synthetic alternative.

          >A human can survive on a vegan diet
You would be malnourished without the efforts of meat-fed chemical engineers producing your supplements. You would be hungry and ill without people burning fossil fuels to truck plants from places that were still warm enough to grow them in the required quantities. Without the meat-fed world helping you, you would... resort to eating eggs and cheese, at least. Humanely sourced, of course. Perhaps you'd say "if the animal expired naturally it's vegan to eat it".

or you can be like everyone else and realize that no, meat is not a luxury product. It is an efficient way to utilize additional resources including those that would otherwise be the masses of wasted byproducts of growing plants for food. Just not at the scale capitalists are currently producing it. Realizing this would save a lot of trucks on the road and plants in operation (doubtlessly running off some dirty power). You could also spare some humans from slave-like working conditions, spare a forest from being bulldozed, spare a river from being drained. By eating efficiently, which means using the animal and fungal kingdoms to recycle additional plant matter and take advantage of your place on the trophic level (remembering this is matter that is so energy intensive to digest that things that do eat it do almost nothing but eat). Veganism and "me manly eat meat" carnism are both destructive and incorrect ideologies from an efficiency/survival standpoint.

Wool is warmer than mink by the way.

I also reject any suffering bullshit you want to bring up because I don't care about that shit Simple as.

            Woolchads: Warm in the rain
minkgays: Not warm in the rain
Fur is only any good in the arctic and then you might as well just kill a beaver, fox, or wolf. Beaver coats and fox/wolf coats are warmer than mink/sable. Even as far as furs go, mink coats are a luxury product. They're more about status and a luxurious appearance.

Vegan bugmen don't realize the utility of animal products. Probably because they all live in stacked apartments and eat straight out of doordash so they never have kitchen scraps or waste food, that's all in some restaurants dumpster.

The redpill is that the earth can not actually sustain more than 7 billion people and that's only if we either totally destroy all parks, nature preserves, etc for use as farmland or force everyone into high density living and have a perfectly efficient system (which would inevitably include some meat) where all resource production is centralized and industrialized and everyone is at the mercy of the state. Sounds fragile, hellish, and bad for mental health? If you live in a big city you are already statistically more likely to have a nice day or others, per capita, only young people in the isolated "rural" life of centralized resource production are more suicide prone.
