Turnspit dogs and other working dogs were allowed to go extinct when their role in human society vanished, and they were harmless little things mostly. Why Pitbulls are still bred makes no sense.

Theoretically it could be a nice initiative to rehabilitate the abused animals instead of just putting them down. Realistically YOU SHOULD FRICKING NEVER TRUST OBLIVIOUS NORMIES WITH THAT. I mean, what were they thinking. The dog like that needs to be medicated to reduce the aggression, heavy use of the muzzle, like constantly keeping the guard up while pushing the training (non violent!). Honestly, even then idk if the dog can recover enough to be safe and trusted. You can’t just push them to random family and hope for the best.

blame the owner, not the breed you breedist chud

If the owner had any other breed, there would most likely not have been an attack. Huskies and greyhounds, like the vast majority of non-retriever and collie dogs, have stalk/chase/bite prey drive for very small animals and livestock types. Pitbulls have prey drive for everything. They see us like chew toys. They are simply dangerous and attack for reasons only experienced dog trainers can comprehend.

Pits arent human aggressive. They have high bite statistics because of popularity

Pitbulls are less than 10% of the dog population. The german shepherd is the third most popular dog and third in fatalities. The #1 and #2 dogs don't even register (labs and goldens).

They have high bite statistics because they are PREY DRIVEN TOWARDS HUMANS. They see us as prey. This does not register as aggression on any temperament test. Because it is not. Neurologically, the dog is not angry. They are excited.

          >pitbulls aren't human aggressive.
          >HE WAS A NICE DOG HE WAS MY SONS BEST FRIEND I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED HE JUST BIT DOWN AND STARTED SHAKING
prey drive. it's the reason you should never keep a wild wolf as a pet. wolfdogs will stalk strangers, but not their owners, and will also stalk their owners children. we spent 20k years carefully breeding dogs so that instinct would never be triggered by us. today we have very friendly dogs that, at the absolute worst, might pick up an infant and then drop it if under stimulated and unsupervised. and pitbulls.

          Huh?

Here's the correct statistic to look at, total criminal homicides in the US since 1990
in summary it's certainly going up however it's not in proportion to the pitbull attacks at all

it's certainly under reported because several democrat cities don't enforce laws anymore so nobody reports things

I'm not comparing anything, I'm just disproving the statement that crimes and murders have gone up

I'm saying you're looking at per capita which is relative to population vs the OPs statistic which is total amount of pitbull attacks and NOT relative to population
You have compared apples to oranges there, the one you posted now is actual totals so it's the correct comparison

You should understand what information you're posting to disprove anything, just saying

The initial graphs I posted were not in response to the OPs graph, it was in response to the post I replied to.
When looking at crime and murder statistics and whether or not they're going up or down (ie: things are going better or worse) you SHOULD look at per capita

                >When looking at crime and murder statistics and whether or not they're going up or down you SHOULD look at per capita
correct, but you can't make a comparison between per capita and total. It's meaningless. OP posted total pitbull attacks, anon claims total crime is up too. Per capita crime is totally irrelevant in this comparison
