Pets are very special. I only found out today after speaking to my cat. They create a different atmosphere and the relationship vibes are entirely different. It is a nice break from daily life.

I wanted to say I don't hate dogs. Dogs are similar to little children. They are little versions of their parents :). Same applies to dogs, the dysfunction of the owner is carried over to the animal.
Where I go for coffee many people bring in dogs. They don't train them so they bark and get aggressive. I saw this one guy with his dog barking and he was petting it hahaha. He was basically reinforcing the barking ..people are not so bright..

I know when I lived in San Diego that it has low wages 'cause it's next to Tijuana Mexico. The rents there are $2400 on average for 1 bedroom. That place I rented in a gated-community with jacuzzis, tennis courts and its own lake cost $375/month in 1992 and now it's $4000. Gas in 1992 was $1.15/gallon and now it's $6-7 gallon. A new Toyota pickup was $7,500 and now that's about $40,000. People now have devices and internet and subscriptions we didn't have in 1992. Groceries have gone up probably 300% and utilities also.
Most jobs are minimum wage in San Diego, nothing but $13/hour minimum wage jobs. Nobody could be affording what they pay for..it's impossible.
I'm in Florida now and the minimum wage is $10/hour. The cost of 1 bedroom here is minimum $1500. Gas is $5/gallon and a new Toyota probably $40,000. Doesn't add up..most jobs in Florida are minimum wage

I'll repeat again. I had a relationship for years with somebody and I told them when we split up to see a psychiatrist, he was diagnosed NPD. I also told him to get 2 dogs 'cause he couldn't have a relationship with a 'human'. He ended up getting 2 dogs.
If you really 'understood' Narcissists you would KNOW that 2 Narcissists cannot be in a relationship, not even 1 minute in the same room (roll eyes)

I've seen the joy people have when a baby comes into this world. Do they still share the joy when their baby becomes homeless? Do they still love that grown adult with a mouth? Nope, they'd rather have a dog that will wag its tail and do tricks for it. That unconditional love of a dog...
I also worked with 8 mentally ill Veterans. Their families would visit once a year and complain about the caregiving. I was working 13 hour days, 7 days a week.
