>perfected the animal-human synergy for the entire world to see
>shits all over dog, cat, and "consumer pet" owners
>receives basically free hauling, free milk, free companionship, free wool for clothing
How can I be this based? Can I do it with goats?
Dude is just a farmhand tho?
I respect him for being a turbo-autist who doesn't give a fuck, but the weird admiration as some kind of fully self-sufficient person is weird considering that he's just a literal serf earning off of a lord.
If he were anything but a farmhand he'd have to leave those sheep on their own sometimes and go to work, or have many more sheep so he could earn a living, more than he could manage on its own. Possibly both. With no farmer above him to manage the trips into town he would have to leave no matter what. The world will not always come to him. What animal comes to mind then as the one who is always essential for his livelihood as the sheep come and go? Which animal would protect the sheep in his absence, keep them where they belong, and help guide them along?
That's right. A dog.
But now that he lives on his own he also needs a permanent settlement. If not to sleep in, to store things in. Rats and mice will nest anywhere enclosed especially if he has food stored, and they spread deadly diseases like the black plague and hantavirus. What animal comes to mind then as the one who repels these vermin?
That's right. A cat.
>if he were anything but a farmhand
He's not, he's also a shepherd and that invalidates your argument
He’s a farmhand. He lives on someone elses farm and helps with their chores. He is not self sufficient. He’s an employee. He’s also going to have a heart attack at 40 unless he eats 500% more veggies.
Do you always cope this hard? Are you mad that someone is shining their light and you are not?
I lived the rural life for years with my family. You need a permanent place, you need income, you need vegetables (no grains). You need more than you need to trade with other people.
This hippy is a kid living in a guy’s backyard playing chris mcclandless. He’s not really self sufficient. Take his farm job away and he’s pretty well fucked.
A lot less fucked than you are once the trucks stop making deliveries. That's the point.
When the trucks stop running the man he depends on demands more work, more sheep, or kicks him out. That’s the thing. The full fledged farm predates trucks. You need more than a handful of sheep to live. Way more. And more than just sheep if you’re going to be any good at it without trading with others (which requires WAY more sheep, and a few dogs).
>NO you heckin HAVE to have dogs bro!!!
What is your problem? Third worlders have been herding dozens of sheep at a time with no dogs for centuries.
Guess why they’re still third worlders? Dogs increase the amount of sheep that can be herded until you can sustain a business in sheep. So yes you have to be dogs if you don’t want to be steamrolled by actual civilization.
Dog fanatics literally cannot comprehend a world without dogs, or the mindset of a person who doesn't keep at least one
*buys out your 12 head "farm"*
*whether you like it or not*
i would like to remind you that the neandergarden gnome extinction is partially due to the fact that actual humans had domesticated dogs, which increased the amount of food they had and made them more effective in warfare
dogs are for working men, not city slickers. and when working men have dogs we shit all over the rest of you while you beg us for wool and mutton.
A llama or donkey
contemplate the aroma
Ironically it'd be far less pungent than the aroma of feet that have been wrapped in fabric and leather, left to stew in sweat and fungus all day.
Indeed. Feet get stinky because there's no fresh air inside shoes for them to breath.
It's known shoes actually deform feet too.
schniff
>has no overhead because farmers let him live on their land for free
>yep this guy's got a pretty sustainable model
ok I'm going to assume you're a stupid person but on the other hand NEETS and couch surfers have found a niche that works for them
>for free
He does farm chores
Do you have any cute videos of sheep playing together or with humans?
I don't know, man. Dogs and cats are pretty cool but most mammals are anyways. I think pets also provide a symbiotic relationship like farm animals do but it's more subtle because you don't get physical things from pets. There's a reason support animals exist.
