Saw a big one crawling across my wall a moment ago. They aren't known for being aggressive but I still don't want to get accidentally bit by sitting on one or smthing.

Checked and you should talk to them and tell them the rules for being in your house
    1. Spiders dont have currency, so rent is paid via bug extermination, its mutually beneficial
    2. Tell the spiders where they can and cant go, make sure they know that they cant walk on your food.

There is no way that actual brown recluses are crawling around your living space. There's a reason they're not called "brown socialites".

This anon is on to something here
I bet if you made eye contact with one and said "Well look who finally crawled out of their cave!" they'd probably get embarrassed and leave

Throwing a party would also work unironically. Brown recluses and black widows both avoid noisy areas

I don't understand how people find telling the same jokes over and over for 10+ years funny, unless it's fed by a constant stream of newbies finding them for the first time

unironically it's dysgenic autism sufferers. a defining trait of autism is being uncomfortable with new things. they prefer things they know which is why the same memes get repeated over and over and over and over and over and over and they still think they're just as hilarious as the first time. it's a method of stimming, of self-soothing for them

I saw one of these frickers under my bed last weeked. I flushed him out with wasp spray, they put him in a gladware and into the freezer. My question is do you think if I set him out, and kill all recluses on sight I'll give them a natural fear of my place? The theory being that the ones that were so scared of seeing it will live on and pass that fear on, while the ones brave or dumb enough to ignore him are removed from the game.

Actual brown recluses are pretty small, and they are scared of being eaten. The easiest way to get rid of them is just to clean up and use an area regularly, they prefer being in places that don’t get disturbed much- like an old woodpile or shed.

Purging big huge spiders is also done by cleaning up, so whatever they’re hunting isn’t attracted into your home in the first place.

might be worth calling an exterminator or at least going on a genocidal purge with some toxic spray thing. saw a kid get bit by one once at boy scout camp and his whole arm swelled up all gnarly and he was just screaming.
