Kitten won't shit plz help

So i got a cat the same way most of you probably did, found the little moron in my wheel well.
Shes eating fine, I got her to pee last night, and I have her a bed and everything, but she won't shit.
I've tried rubbing her butt and tummy with a warm cloth but she won't stay still long enough for it, and I'm worried, because she's eaten a lot and its been like 10 hours since I found her.
Oh and her name is Smudge.

Seethe? Your cat would die 5 seconds after leaving your property line. It probably shits liquid when you feed it anything less than Wagyu beef and oven roast duck. Its had all the personality bred out of it and you think thats something to be proud of, which is hilarious if it wasn't so pathetic.

Bumping OP here with a question, Smudge flicks her tail a lot every time I hold her which I've heard from multiple sources is a sign of distress, but she also acts playful, doesn't try earnestly to get away from me, and shows other affection signs such as slow blinking, kneading, and some head bumps. Is the tail thing safely disregarded if there are other indicators of happiness and contentment, or am I doing something wrong?

Its not to the point it won't play, but its not comfortable be manhandled by anyone else. If anyone besides me picks it up or starts to touch it in a scary place like its tummy, it screams. It doesn't respond that way to me. Thats how I like it.

Imagine a major point of pride in your life being how effectively you inbred your pet.
      What a pathetic existence lmao

My cat isn't "unreasonably" afraid of everything. Its a baby, and its in an entirely new enviorment with no familiar faces or smells. Its stuck in a box a lot, and its only really sure about ONE person(me). Of course its gonna act scared and skittish.
If you get a cat home and its a perfect little gentleman and doesn't have any issues settling in or meeting new people, you don't have a cat, you have a robot with fur and a quadrupedal gait.

    [...]

It belongs in my lap, and in my arms, it belongs with me for as long as it can be. I don't have a pet to impress others. I couldn't care less what others think. Its truly sad that some animals must endure life as a trophy for autistic little gremlins like you.

I don't want her to be nice to everyone, I want her to be nice to me. I have lived my entire life with pets who either didn't care about me or loved my family members more than me.
I just want a companion who will be happy to see me. An artificially bred little toy that's been carefully designed to be a soulless little mindless "buddy" doesn't appeal. If you want a super-friendly little buddy who will obey and tolerate anything, do tricks, and play with your kids... then get a dog.

My cat is sweet and trusting towards me and loves me unconditionally. That matters more to me than a fancy little toy cat that will puke if I don't buy it the most expensive cat food I can find in Whole Foods.

Shes a sleepy lil stinker, cries and mews whenever anyone else holds her, but melts and gets sleepy when I pet her. Feels nice. Usually animals don't like me.

She's fine now. I fed her more regularly and shes doing her business all on her own in a little litter.

Needed to do that for the first few times for her to pee but now she's good. But instead of a tongue I used a warm cloth.

      Squeeze her realy hard

I don't think that'll help but thanks for the advice Chang

Its funny, I bought her a nice mouse and stick toy and some fur mice at Petsmart but she just wants to play with either my hands, or the drawstring to my sweatpants. I have a rat problem though, so hopefully in a year she can finally kill the little bastards.

          She's cute.

Yea, shes got a funny fur pattern, black, with little splotches of brown and white just barely visible. I have no knowledge of any cat breeds so idk what type of breed she could be.

Obviously take her to the vet, but my guess is she's blocked up by something she ate outside. A kitten that I rescued had been eating leafs and bark out of desperation

Take Smudge to the vet, don't trust internet opinions. He will also make her the necessary vaccinations (if needed, she just might be too small yet).

The kitten looks big enough to sort it out herself. Try put it on some dirt, or a plant pot that only contains dirt.. She should be big enough to know how to shit. If it won't happen then try to bring her to the vet. Maybe they have some good in them and let you pay in parts.

This guy was right, I just wasn't feeding her enough. I started feeding her as much as she would eat and she started using the bathroom naturally right away.
However, I have to go to work tomorrow for 6 hours, what do I do for her during that time? How do I get her ready for being alone that long? I was lucky enough to find her on my day off but I'm worried how she'll do on her own.

I'm happy that it worked. 🙂
As I see you are not very knowledgeable about cats, but it doesn't matter, you always start somewhere.

For starter: she looks old enough to shit and piss (as you saw) but it's not weird that she reacted to the stimulation and peed. However, you don't need to do that, just reguraly clean the litter, every day once because some cats might shit elsewhere or won't shit at all if the litter is not clean enough.

Her breed is just housecat, however the pattern she have called tortoiseshell. Some people say tortoiseshell cats are very loyal and love to choose a "special person", and looks like it's you.

You can leave her at home while you work. The ideal if you live vith someone and they check on her, and feed her. Always provide fresh water, and some food. If she become adult she will be ok alone. And get your house a little "childproof", so no big objects that can fall on her or edgy and pricky furniture that can pierce her when she plays.

Most cats sadly won't really catch rats, because they are often too big and scary, BUT there are cats that can even catch a fricking hare, so it's kinda gambling what she will be when reaching adulthood. Her smell and presence could alert rats, and they might avoid the house.

And don't give her milk. Sadly they love it, and they are fricking lactose intolerant, so unless you want her to have diarrhea you shouldn't give her milk.

That's all for now. Be happy with your kitten, she is really cute! Oh, and double check if she is a she, at this age, you can easily mix them. Pic related.

Thanks for the help! I figured out some of this already myself, I've been researching a lot and trying to provide her the best care I can. Right now the cycle is pretty simple, I pick her up and interact for 45 minutes to an hour every few hours or so, then I feed her as much as she'll eat, let her sleep it off and digest, and when she starts her mewing again I hold her for another hour and then feed and repeat. She seems to be responding well to that.
I am pretty sure that its a girl, because its bits are very close together, but if it ends up being a boy it doesn't matter, Smudge is a gender neutral name, lol, and she already seems to have learned it. When I say "Smudge!" she turns and looks. Its very sweet. I'm very worried about how she'll take me being gone several hours tomorrow, but I think it'll be ok. Tomorrow is the only day of the week I am exceptionally busy, and the rest I can go home for a bit to be with her before I have to hit the gym.
Its gonna be a bit hectic, but having something that genuinely needs my constant care and attention I think will be good for me.
It will help keep my mind from unwanted thoughts, which has been a problem as late, but when I am caring for Smudge none of that seems to matter much.
              Feels really good. 🙂

                That's good to hear!
I also want to warn you beforehand, that female cats get to the breeding age around 1 year old and when they are going to heat they will yowl and piss EVEREYWHERE. And if they aren't kept in the house they will 100% get fricked by a male and birth to more and more cats. If you don't have a fairly big space where she can be locked till it wears off (around 1 week) and don't want to have 10+ cats in a few years you might consider spaying her.

Our cat personally are not spayed, because she is an inside only cat, but we have to lock her out to the bathroom and corridors yearly 2x for a week because of the massive pissing.

We probably will get her spayed soon, when I can put together a few hundred bucks. From what I've looked at, she can't be more than a month and a half, maybe 2 months old, so I've got time. I'm gonna be gone in just a few minutes for a little over 6 hours, hoping she'll be ok for that long. She has water and I have some people living with me so someone can feed her when she starts asking to be fed. I might have to skip gym tonight, but if I do its no big deal.
Whiny is very cute btw! A more "pure" black I see, and she looks super soft. I bet she's a snugglebug, lol
