JP t-rex is still the most natural looking one.

WWD rex has the best roar, but looks absolutely fricked.

Homotherium did, but your source says that Smilodon didn't, so the other anon's post still stands.
        >Highlights-"Smilodon would show visible upper canines when the mouth was closed."
        >Conclusion- "In the case of Smilodon, with reduced flange and a less tight fit, it is likely that the upper canines would be exposed in life, even with a closed mouth."
You can't even spell dumb right. Your entire post was a massive cope.

It is, but not the way you think.

in anatomy both pussies and faces have lips. A few other organs as well. Also fish have lips even though they're not mammals or humans.

he's right, those are just scales covering the margins of the jaw bones. Lips would cover the teeth partially or completely.

Seems weird since in all these cases only a single pair of teeth are generally exposed due to being elongated and all the others are not. I mean its not like T. rex has elongated teeth/tusks/fangs

                Anonymous

dinosaurs were not 1:1 identical to modern animals, mainly due to them being so diverse and overwhelming of niches ruled by mammals, completely different kinds of animals. for all we know, t rex could have had exposed or partially exposed teeth that it would have shed regularly (I think there's even evidence of t rex regularly shedding teeth?) so the jury is still out. personally, lips make sense but a few teeth poking out a la you drawing dinosaur art when you were little? not too unreasonable.

pretty sure t.rex replaced it’s teeth every two years iirc. not sure if that’s fast enough to justify having exposed teeth.

      >reptiles can't have lips because lips is a specific anatomical term. It is not.
We actually use the term a lot in dinosaur anatomy. Particularly in describing teeth where we talk about LabioLingual Tooth Width. Which means literally lips to tongue tooth width.

we don't know if they had lips but we use them as a landmark anyways. We also don't technically know if they had tongues. I mean they had tongue muscles since they had a hyoid bone, but for all we know the tongue may have been very short or attached to the bottom of the mouth rather than mobile as in most animals today.
