Post edgy animals? Why are certain animals associated with the word "edgy". What evokes this response in humans?

How the fuck did they evolve hair is what I want to know. Lol why did hair evolve in so many species independently? Even some birds have hair like feathers.

        Grasshopper (I think?) eats cricket

It's in the filename. It's a katydid, a relative of grasshoppers and crickets. I did some looking around and I think it might be the "Giant Texas Katydid". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neobarrettia_spinosa

Watching Bug Wars I always thought of Katydid as jobber bug. But this one looks like it can kill. Or maybe it only looks big when compared to the cricket, and because of the camera angle. Either way, I wonder how it would fare in Bug Wars?

It's apparently a carnivore. Judging from its size though, I'd figure that it'd fair very well. I think the only thing big enough in its area to fight it would be a tarantula but I'd bet on the katydid.

Yep. They're prone to taking pre-killed meals at that stage.

Edgy as you probably know it today is a nu-west concept meant to deride masculine interests and behavior and shame young men for not pursuing a more docile and feminine life. It originated on the Wauf-twitter-reddit internet "culture" complex, created by insecure bullied anime nerds, present and future trannies, and fat chicks. Do you like the color black, swords, guns, sportscars, or fighting? Do you like predatory animals and extreme weather? Wow, edgelord. Get a clue. Let me introduce you to... japanese poetry and cute drawings of girls. Soft and clean. This cancer has sadly spread to gen Zs mainstream. If you aren't gen Z you 100% got the idea from the internet nerdsphere's inferiority complex.

Edgy as it used to be just meant something involved a lot of very graphic violence, swearing, and drugs.

Doubt it? This post will be called edgy, schizo, or incel.

Good one, I was about to call it schizo, but I don't take it back just because you predicted it. Not everything is a psy-op, schizo.

Bandit birds are so cool. They used to be all over my ranch a few years ago. I wish they'd come back and leave corpses all over the barbed wire again.

Armored catfish, they seem to come in a range between dark green and black

Normal. That's the same species as aquarium "algae eaters" (Hypostomus plecostomus). The little ones are just young.

          Anonymous

That's the common Plecostomus. It is a fresh water, algae eating, aquarium fish that is often misleadingly sold as a fish that will "clean your tank" to new fish keepers, and they also are only a few inches when sold. So an inexperienced fish keeper with a 10 gallon tank buys him expecting him to "clean the tank" of nitrates and ammonia (it doesn't that's nonsense), and before he knows it, the fish is bigger than the tank he's in because they grow to 24 inches, and feeling he has no other option releases it into his local waterway. They are incredibly invasive and are a MASSIVE problem in Florida.

    >Why
You take a thing people dislike and then you like is. This doesn't apply to mosquitoes because those are just annoying and impossible to like.

Not really, people dislike monkeys, cats, dogs, etc. that some people like. They are definitely not edgy.
