Climate change is a multi trillion dollar buisness. It sucks up government grants, taxes, donations, adverts and pretty much every single form of generating money. In the end, it is just a way to materialize money literally out of the air without anything actually being produced. You can tax everything with a green tax, travel, food, entertainment you name it. Not to mention the green lobbies experiencing the green tech boom, getting a blank check on their windmills or whatever the frick else they have patented and peddle to the worlds nations.
Money is nice, but the real scary part of the green movement is the move towards totalitarianism under the guise of the common good. People are being taught to accept the loss of goods and rights as long as it is to prevent the creeping dooom (20 years from now every 20 years from now)
We saw during the coof that people are moronic enough to cheer on as people get their rights stripped away from them. When people get served with a notice that owning their detached house is bad from the environment and they have to move into the hive cities it is too late to notice.

In those cases, plants had longer to adapt to the change in temperatures. Not anymore. The issue isnt necessarily the warming climate, it's the rate of the warming climate.

Maybe the other Anon expressed himself wrong, but I'm the Countryside Southern hemisphere Anon that posted before, and gave clear examples of how it's affecting agriculture.
We had an entire week of +25°C in the middle of winter, last year our last frost was in late October, which compromised my wheat fields, and earlier that year we had cold weeks in the middle of summer and my onions production was also greatly affected.
It's not the "global warming", it's just how extreme and put of place climate is getting.
Under this circumstances, grass will grow and cattle will live, but agriculture is much more fragile. Only rich people and rural areas will eat, 3/4ths of the population will not survive, and you might just find yourself in that category.
The government uses this to humilliate and subdue the population, but it is true.

Kinda hard when the internet is being scrubbed of mentions of the event and the original research were blocked from publishing under threat of funding being pulled. The original source were a statement from one of the authors.
        There is this
        https://www.climatedepot.com/2019/03/05/study-polar-bear-numbers-reach-new-highs-population-increases-to-the-highest-levels-in-decades/
which details the real life consequences of what the pulled study was getting at. When you mix politics and "science" or rather, comissioned "experts" talking out of their ass on subjects they do not have expertse on and then mix in a sprinkle of controlled legazy and social media trickery you get shit like this. Real life consequences being hushed down to not break with the established narrative.

There is anotherr study that claims that polar bears have increased since they were protected, but it was "deboonked" by "fact checkers" casting shade over the findings. Not because they claim the study had false findings, but explained the numbers away by claiming "we're just better at finding them now"

At the end of the day, you will believe what you want to believe, not a single soul on Wauf has the expertise to know anyway, nor do 99.99% of other "experts" who would be quick to chime in. Which is the goddamn problem.

Even if it's true, and they can eat our garbage to survive and thrive, they are leaving their native ecosystems, not participating in it. Just like humans, more does not equal better, they live like raccoons and we are supposed to be happy?
Scientists lie? Yes. Is there an agenda? Yes. But, are we destroying our environment beyond repair? Not in the way scientists claim, but we sure as hell are.

            Anonymous

Problem with saying we are destroying our environment beyond repair is that there is absoutely no basis for that statement. I'd agree with you if we were dumping toxic chemicals into the ground water on an industrial scale and vegetation stopped growing and animal could no long procreate due to excessive numbers of stillbirths, but that is not what even close the most excessive outlook on the effects of global warming are warning us about.
Compare it to the little ice age, we would struggle a lot more to suffer through it than a global temperature increase of 2C, yet humans and animals got through it just fine.
At the end of the day, climate will change, if it is because of our actions or natural cycles, if it is within normal ranges there is no reason to think life on this rock or us as a species cannot cope with it, and 2C is within normal ranges. 1000 ppm Co2 levels are within normal ranges, oceans rising (which they are not but whatever) 2-4 meters are within normal ranges, it's not even a mild climate adustment compared to what the earth and we as a species have suffred through before.

I understand, but this shouldn't be happening.
I'm more concerned about the depletion of natural resources and the disappearance of native fauna, which living in the countryside I observed throughout the last 16 years (I started noticing it in 2007 aprox). Although I don't attribute that to climate change, I see how the weather has changed: in my country, the last below 0 temperatures are now happening in mid october (southern hemisphere). Last year I almost lose all of my wheat.
Also, we're having the worst drought we've had in the last 80 years, and now rain is torrential so we are suddenly having floodings.
I don't like where this is going, you think we might make it but we won't. We can still produce milk and meat, but it's getting harder to produce crops with a climate like this.

I don't care about global warming, I care about the overall climate change, which at least to me is our fault, based on how quickly it's happening.
Thanks for being respectful and informative on your point of view, thus qe can both learn from this, instead of just screaming at each other.

I see your point, but my experience is oposite to yours. I live in the northen hemisphere to the far north. I've lived close to nature all my life and have not seen any climate changes worth mentioning. There was a period from the late 90's to the 2010's where we saw less heavy snow, but that has since changed and we regularly get 2-4m of snow by the end of april. Summers likewise are the same as they have always been, 20-30 C in the summer on good days, ~15 C otherwise. I've not seen any decline in flora or fauna, rather I've noticed in recent years that more and more snow stick around throughout summer on the mountans, currently we have a mini glacier forming on the highest peak around here.
I have no idea how climate works, at the end of the day we can only tuck our heads in and weather it, man made or not, the most likey destination is that we are not capable of changing the course of the climate no matter what we do. I just don't want politicians of one of the most corrupt nations in the world to start spraying particles into the atmosphere to reduce how much sun we're getting, because that sounds like the worst idea in human history.
I hope the weather stops fricking you over though man, sounds like you've got it rough.

I strongly agree on that last part.
                We mustn't play with climate.
The thing about turning Africa green, for example, could drastically reduce precipitations in the middle east, but the thing is that we just don't know, but still do it. There's a horrible lack of responsibility from people who do not understand nature, but still take decisions to make cheap environmentalists happy. And that could cost us our entire planet.

Hope things stat chill over there Anon, God bless you 🙂

It's normal in context of climate change on the planet you absolute sperg. Ocean levels have risen 130 meters since the end of the last ice age, you can bet your clueless ass that there were multiple times where 2-4 meters of rise occured within 200-400 years. My point being that stone age people coped just fine, even when once prime real estate got swallowed by the oceans so there is no reason to think we could not adapt.
Will stress again, still no evidence of oceans rising, at all, so it is academical. What you got is the usual doomsday prophecies not panning out, getting their deadline extended just enough that the next generation won't remember the last time they were wrong.

You're blindly trusting "experts" and "science" when they are clearly politicized. We're told the lie of 94% concensus or whatever percentage it was, yet the number comes from number of scientists (across all sciences for some reason) that agreed with the statement "humanity have had an impact on climate" which you can agree with even if you think the impact is negligible, making the number worthless, yet oft paraded.

Ask yourself if it is even possible to prove it wrong? What would happen if someone without a doubt could prove that man made climate change was bunk? Would it even be allowed to surface, considering the trillions climate change generate, the millions of careers tied to it, political careers built on it? trust in science depending on it etc etc? If that much power and capital is tied to it. You know damn well it cannot fail at this point, that's what happens when you mix politics and science.
