is there seriously no way to ethically purchase feeder rats? the socially acceptable procedure is to stuff them in dark tiny bins with no stimulation and then gas them with co2, which is incredibly painful. i want a snake but cant get one in good conscience when i think about this
Gas them with nitrogen instead: it is painless. Look it up.
>not building mouse utopia with a sinister secret in your basement
ngmi
>i want a snake but cant get one in good conscience when i think about this
Then use chicks instead
have a nice day and feed yourself to your reptile
A helpful opinion, I know right where to put it.
The way I kill rabbits for food is probably the most ethical
You just put your foot on the neck and then quickly put pressure and pull and the head pops off like it's nothing.
I'm not into snakes though.
Not really my thing. Seems like a waste of mammalian life and time to try and get enough chicks regularly or raise rats.
If CO2 is too painful and therefoe inhumane maybe just exitbag them instead?
Helium goes unnoticed but its expensive.
>gas them with co2
>which is extremely painful
is this true?? wouldn't they use inert gas like helium or nitrogen? pressing x to doubt
>which is extremely painful
UUUU
I guess mice don't suffer from it like people? A guy on YouTube said he covered the tub so he doesn't see the struggling. Lab mice/rats exist because they're like humans. The CO2 must be torture. Getting eaten seems way better. Having your neck quickly broken by a herp shop employee seems best
subtle
Inert gas euthanasia requires much more expensive safety training, insurance, and monitoring equipment than CO2. You can’t accidentally drown in CO2, unless you can’t escape a confined space, because if you breath a pure CO2 atmosphere it will trigger the vertebrate drowning reflex.
It’s not actually painful, what it is is terrifying. Google “Helmet Horror” which is the same thing but for people.
I buy live and break their necks myself, but not everyone is willing to do this, so I do understand the market for pre-killed and frozen.
Why now just get a pet snake that does not eat mice? Just a quick Google and I found a few that can be fed on worms, insects, and fish
Just start your own rat homestead bro
the garden gnome fears the indoor rat breeder
Make a Wauf bioactive enclosure that's easier to manage than the breeding pits they're in.
Plenty of snakes eat minnows, frogs, worms, and snails.
try getting a pet that isn't pussy repellent
Are roasties just incels that have sex?
>i want a bf
>no not like that one
>ew
>why are men so terrible
incels are pretty feminine actually
women are retarded animals
So are incels
isn't the point of this video that she was too picky?
Lmao is this supposed to be ironic or something?
Like c'mon one guy might be an asshole but if you have a problem with every guy then you're the asshole.
look up egg-eating snakes or consider any other reptile
you could breed your own rats and ensure they are raised ethically, but that would require you to care for lots of rats
