Is man as beautiful as life can possibly get?

Is there any lifeform(existing, extinct, fictional) that looks better than our humanoid bodies?

Yes, humanity in the future will be even more beautiful.

reminder to all the people saying "you need to think humans are the greatest or you're broken", human sexuality is considered sinful wrongthink in basically every single culture. the implication is that we have always found the average member of our species somewhat gross and sexual attraction was always an animal instinct that dragged us along kicking and screaming.

every culture on earth has also always glorified an idealized human that resembles almost nobody. we have always, as a species, not consciously liked the way we actually look, and we have always admired nature more. the center of every belief system is that man is corrupt compared to nature.

Not really. To say that we are the most beautiful would be anthrocentric, especially when the world has things other than hairless apes.

Either a cervine in snow or a red fox is my vote.

Humans are evolutionarily designed to find one another the most attractive animal, so much so that we don't even really compare ourselves to other animals physically and we consider ourselves apart from them to a degree.
Only the mentally defective would consider an animal more beautiful than a beautiful human.

      >Humans are evolutionarily designed to find one another the most attractive animal
      True
      >Only the mentally defective would consider an animal more beautiful than a beautiful human
      False
Sexual attraction and beauty are two entirely separate things.
Humans are sexually attractive but not beautiful, animals and plants are beautiful but not sexually attractive. If you think that any b***h or muscleman is more beautiful than a colorful reef fish you're thinking with your dick, not with your brain, you're a moronic caveman. Likewise if you think than any animal is more attractive than a human you're a deviant in dire need of psychological evaluation.

there can not be a defect without purpose given by a creator and that creator is certainly not darwin or some magical consciousness of evolution. Evolution has no mind and no intent so nothing is defective or degenerate under scientism.

God made men that saw more beauty outside of man so that they would be motivated to maintain nature and tame it. He knew what he was doing, so he forbade bestiality because he knew they would never have children if he didn’t.

To us, no. We evolved to be attracted to each other. Of course we would think that we are the most beautiful animals. Do you think we evolved to frick dogs?

Did we evolve to frick shapes?

Not entirely, no. I meant attraction in the sense that we want to be near each other and have evolved to be social/empathetic, hence we are hyper aware of human facial and body features and have a strong preference for them. Why wouldn't we think humans are the most beautiful creatures when we literally evolved to favor ourselves?

If we take your words as axioms, it implies there's two types of beauty, one regulated by sexual attraction and one other that works through some mechanism.

This is moronic. Man is the ideal being. kys

Attraction and sense of beauty are separate things.
I'm exclusively attracted to female humans, but I don't think they look beautiful. Their bodies look vulgarly fat, weak and clumsy.
My idea of beauty is something like a birch tree or a fern.

bullshit. you read this in a book and you're parroting it. probably by christopher hitchens, because that's where I heard this exact phrase.
and he said it because he's bisexual.
and he's bisexual because he was traumatized, not because homosexuality is natural and beautiful and valid.

          >muh trauma
Homosexuality in all forms from bisexuality to transvestism is caused by a hormone imbalance in the womb interfering with sexual differentiation in the brain. It’s ultimates caused by the genes of the mother making her more likely to make gay sons the more sons she has, so her straight sons and their daughters will still spread the mutation. If your people understood this earlier you could have prevented even one gay from being born starting 50 years ago.

Good to know that my thoughts also have literary representation though.

Humans are okay looking, for apes. The whole order of primates is pretty fricking ugly though so it's not saying much. The displays of birds and the lithe, elegant flow of a cat are both superior in general and equal in their own specialization. You have to be sub 90 IQ to not realize this. We're one upped by most other animals and even some plants.

Considering the co-evolution between man and canine, maybe there's some truth behind that joke. Humans who had an affinity for canines were more successful, and we bred them to be aesthetic to us, even if not on purpose. Of courses we'd favor the ones who look cute and beautiful, the ones who behave socially and affectionately like we do. Our species have become quite close in not much time.
