Try to find a local aquarium where you could work at or something if you want to try to get in an Wauf type job. Worked in one for a while, had no previous experience and I had just entered college. I had to maintain the tanks and feed the fishes, it was comfy.

Homesteading isn't something you can just do, You live in an apartment, you need a solid career that will allow you to buy a house and land, there really aren't any shortcuts if that's your dream.
