Imo you should get your dog cremated and spread his ashes someplace he used to love running around in. That way he can spend eternity chasing birds in his favorite spot 🙂

Toss it in a field, feed the vultures and scavengers.

if there are any funeral parlors or places like that around they might cremate pets too, that's what i did when my old dog finally passed.

    Who cares

I have 90lbs of salt ready and a shitton of concrete. I'm going to make sure she lasts forever in a solid tomb of salt, concrete, and soon to be large bricks. All this is going 6ft underground in the middle of unusable rocky, mountainous desert. There will be a duplicate tribute plaque buried with her. Still deciding on the monolith. People 4000 years from now will know I loved her.

    There are pet cremation services

just don't chop him up and throw the pieces in a garbage bag and then ditch it on my land

    because someone did that

Would it be cool if I stuffed him in a trash bag and buried him? Is that illegal or too inhumane (in-dog-mane)?

Use one that's biodegradable if you have to

I usually just put my pets straight in when I bury them in my yard

          Why biodegradable?

Depends on where you live. I've buried one dog where it was legal but mother fricker that soil was a b***h to dig deep enough in. Also my girlfriends family moved from that house so it's like they left their beloved dog behind for a new family to deal with. I've gotten my only and much loved dog cremated after I had to put her asleep. Cost less than 100 bucks where I live and I can take her anywhere I move. Her ashes are in a little small box with a brass plaque that displays her name.

I'm in Texas and I rent a home. Does this change anything?

Yeah well I suppose it's not going to be very discreet digging a hole for a couple of hours in a backyard. If it was me and I didn't want to go to a vet to get the dog cremated, I'd find an isolated spot in the woods or somewhere and bury the dog there. It's discreet and you can always visit the spot if you want. Its legal as long as you don't get caught too! Just pre dig the hole and it won't take long to fix it up when you need it

Why tf would you carry a dead creature's ashes around with you?

I don't move house that often so it's not like I'm carrying her around every day. She was a beloved family member, and really is no different than keeping a humans ashes or burying in a cemetery for sentimental reasons.
