My mother caused my hatred of dogs. Growing up she would keep large high energy dog breeds (Border collies, Pitbulls, Akedah's) and she would constantly keep them in crates or in the living room. They constantly barked and would jump on me whenever I left my bedroom it drove me up the fucking walls and she would let them chew up my toys to "Teach me to not leave my toys out" or let the dogs steal food off my plate if I was late to dinner or got up to go to the bathroom.
When I was a kid I would watch the movie Short Circuit, and there's a scene where Stephanie first invites Number 5 into her house and there are animals fucking EVERYWHERE.
Something about that deeply disgusted me and I've been disgusted at the idea of being inside a house with animals ever since. Especially hairy ones
