yes, I've been injured badly several times and didn't feel pain
one time I broke my pelvis snowboarding and the pain was incredible. I lost consciousness immediately. I woke up and passed out again. I did that over and over until I got some drugs.
another time I cut myself badly at work and the panic of seeing my blood squirting out of my body made me faint. Then when I woke up I panicked and was so busy getting to the hospital I didn't feel pain until almost an hour later when they got around to scrubbing the cut.

if you live long enough you're gonna feel some pain maybe, but not more than you can bear because that will knock you out. The pain is tolerable. But if something is eating you I'm guessing you'll be dead of blood loss and shock long before it really hurts.

also i've seen a deer munch on grass while being eaten by wolves. once shock sets in they're ok. unlike the wolves, they are not that smart. lions and wolves are about equal in intelligence while hyenas are as smart as monkeys so they definitely notice the big nothingburger.
