They evolved to trick us into taking care of them
There are more of them than us and we slave away to give them cozy lives with as much food as they can eat and heating lamps

The "how it happened" is actually quite a gruesome story. That big fella starved to death if he survived the initial impact.

How do you know if T Rex weren't just big chickens?

I sincerely believe we need to look more into professional cockfighting to understand how T rex live fight and die

It is a quite crazy to think about how the ancestors of dinosaurs from 65 million years ago are still here today.

..... we are here too. Thinking of synapsids is somewhat less of a mindfuck to you?

This is disputed. The fossil record is not entirely in order, full of huge gaps, and guessing who descended from who based on muh basal traits is stupid. The actual common ancestor could be and most likely is missing.

    >birds are highly derived forms of maniraptoran dinosaurs
    >TREX BECAME A CHICKEN!!!
    why

Birds evolved from raptor type dinosaurs not T.rex.

According to epistomology, you have no real proof dinosaurs ever existed. You have many things that support the theory that they did, but it's not able to be confirmed.

birds MAY have evolved from a dinosaur lineage -> birds evolved from dinosaur lineage -> birds evolved from dinosaurs -> OH MY GOD BIRDS EVOLVED FROM T REXES BROS

The first sentence is already old times. They did not MAY have evolved from a dinosaur lineage. They DID evolve from a dinosaur lineage. At this point it's almost as certain as humans evolving from a common ape ancestor.

birds are a lineage of dinosaurs
Wauf likes to pretend it's still 1945 and fundies won the culture wars

Exactly. Wauf cruzade against feathered dinosaurs got way too far, and now they are doubting something already proven for 50 years at the very least (although speculation began as far as the 19th century).
The next step is thinking dinosaurs are just big ancestors of lizards from a few thousand years ago, just like the first paleontologists.

    1. In unstable conditions highly specialized species die and the generalists inherit the land.
    2. Generalists evolve to fill available niches and become highly specialized.
The planet keep alternating between the two.

    irony

    T. rex' most obvious ancestors are all from china

Turns out every major dinosaur lineage hails from China
Or so the CCP would have us believe
