They're like eusocial bees without a hive.

European bros, how can we compete against the BBB?

Stop showering them with medication, putting them in moldy homes and feeding them no nutrition fast food maybe.

There is no such thing as a perfect hexagon
It's either an hegagon or not an hexagon

They are taught by worker bees when they are still larvae so when they emerge the know exactly what to do

How the frick were ancient Irish giants hardwired to make perfect rows of hexagons?

They weren't. They had to spent years in paddie school to learn it.

This is what non-leprechauns actually believe.

        >weird volcano
its just a basalt magma plume that became extrusive.

theres a misconception with these ancient alien types that the structures are symmetrically and mathematically perfect, when they are obviously not. also, building techniques just hundreds of years after are much more complex.

i wonder if they need practice too. I remember my Grandfather showing me that new queens need to train a little because in the beginning, they often lay multiple eggs into a single cell.

        The superior bee
        >In areas of suitable temperate climate, the survival traits of Africanized honey bee colonies help them outperform European honey bee colonies. They also return later and basically work under conditions that often keep European honey bees hive-bound. This is the reason why they have gained a well-deserved reputation as superior honey producers, and those beekeepers who have learned to adapt their management techniques now seem to prefer them to their European counterparts. Studies show that in areas of Florida that contain Africanized honey bees, the honey production is higher than in areas in which they do not live. It is also becoming apparent that Africanized honey bees have another advantage over European honey bees in that they seem to show a higher resistance to several health issues, including parasites such as Varroa destructor, some fungal diseases like chalkbrood and even the mysterious colony collapse disorder which is currently plaguing beekeepers.

They start out making round circles using their own body parts as a rough measurement guide. When you squish a bunch of cylinders that size together, you get a hexagon instead of a circle. You can manipulate what exactly they put in those cells (babies or food) by giving them a foundation with hexagons that are a bit larger or smaller.

      What
said. They're not hardwired, hexagons are just the natural result of squishing together round cells to be more space-efficient.

bullshit. how would you feel studying geometry and logistical design for years just for someone on a bhutanese basket weaving forum to disregard it as happenstance?
