I grow tired of pigeons and magpies waking me up with their shrill screeches; the buzzards need to move back. Cities are a hell for birds.
In my countryside house there are some wood doves. However just 1km from my home there are collared doves but they never come to my village.
I have feeders and managed to attract about 20 species (even a fricking Canada goose in fricking Europe) + 20 other species fly around my home, but these doves would never come.
Maybe one day.

I sometimes start leaving home at 4am and they are my friends who make me feel less lonely when I wake up.
Yeah, it's not always as obvious that they're the ones making those sounds since they don't have their mouths open or anything and they're often a bit hidden. Still lovely birds and a cozy call to hear during the day.

i startled a flock of them while i was walking through a pasture at like 4am. the serene silence of the field erupted into that sound x100 all around me and i didn't know wtf was going on because i could hardly see. genuinely one of the most terrifying moments of my life.
