Also, the chinese paddlefish isn't the only large freshwater fish that was confirmed extinct. The Yangtze sturgeon is gone too.

The corrupt cunt deleted it because I posted a safe for work image of two chinese guys. Janny used some bullshit rule about it needing to be animal and nature related to give me a timeout. The janny is either a CCP shill, tankie or chinese.

I'm pretty sure this is the ONLY video out there of a live Chinese paddlefish. Sure, there's pictures out there a plenty but this is like the only video I've seen of one alive.

There is this one too and i think i have seen another one on a chinese website. Seems incredible that nobody tried to film one underwater before his extinction, there isn't that many photos too and most are low res, that's why most articles about chinese paddlefish uses the american.

You realise that it's Western practise on land management and forced industry that leads to this not CTM you know. Paddlefish did just fine before American company buys up land and dumps chemicals in the waters. Anyway it is only a silly looking fish so it is hard to care so much. How is American paddle fish doing lol?

        >for some reason the american paddlefish isn't extinct
        >American paddlefish populations have declined dramatically, primarily as a result of overfishing and habitat destruction. In 2004 they were listed as Vulnerable (VU A3de ver 3.1) on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. They are currently proposed for listing as VU 3de throughout their range as the result of a U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service assessment. The assessment concluded that "an overall population size reduction of at least 30% may occur within the next 10 years or three generations due to actual or potential levels of exploitation and the effects of introduced taxa, pollutants, competitors or parasites."

god everything out of china is so twofaced, always putting up a front while doing the absolute worst shit possible
i feel bad for pandas in a way, only saved from extinction because they can be used to woo westerners by being cute chinese propaganda pieces.

          Anonymous

The only reason why the panda bounced back is because China commercialized it. Every single Panda overseas is leased. By contract no institution outside China can own one, even the offspring that spawns overseas.

            Anonymous

The only reason why the panda bounced back is that the last strip of habitat they have left is being diligently protected. Captive breeding and reintroduction projects never gave significant results.

Pandas areva succes story. They are not in any real danger of extinction in the wild.

They're still relegated to something like 1% of their original range. if anything happens to that land pandas are doomed.

Deforestation part is actually kind of true. China has one of the biggest REforestation projects on the globe. Doesn't make up for what they did and do to the rest of their country.
