I prefer free range organic products because I believe it's healthier but chicken would cost way too much if that's all there was.

The chickens don't seem to mind this machine:

...they probably like the slaughtering less though.

factory farmed animals produce inferior product, that's all that matters. Chickens fed only grain produce objectively inferior eggs, chickens with access to forage, greens, insects, etc produce eggs with rich orange yolks, the flavor is objectively superior and the nutrition is peerless. I can't go back to yellow american eggs ever again.

    >but this study compared a health conscious vegetarian with someone that ate a steak a day!
The health of the average vegan would improve with meat. Even with supplements and exotic, out of season “super foods” vegans are always slightly deficient in at least one vital nutrient.

Humans need meat to be at their healthiest, but red meats and processed meats are not out natural prey and current quantities consumed are frankly ridiculous.

      its like vegan kibble bs

they say meat is unhealthy but they compare a vegetarian diet to rendered and then cooked yet again slaughterhouse waste and rotten supermarket meat that gets thrown in a never cleaned grinder foam packaginng and plastic ear tags included. of course the “meat” fed animal will be unhealthy, the meat is literally ground up garbage.

Moderate balanced diets are healthiest for humans. Instead of fried chicken 3 times a day, maybe venison stew 3 times a week sort of meat intake. Zero animal products is moronic and only for ideological purposes.

            >Vegetarian by design
Humans have severely reduced gut fermentation ability and ridiculously reduced appendix, and can not digest most plant matter. However our digestive system quickly and completely dissolves low fat WHITE MEAT. If you ate either alone you would quickly die of malnutrition.

We evolved bordering the fruit filled forests and the game filled plains and coasts. We have morpolohical changes from early hominids that clearly suggest we evolved to rely on meat as a food source. The entire reason we were able to sustain the evolution of larger brains is because of the nutrient density of one of the most common foods eaten by human ancestors - fish.

If you ate beans alone with not one scrap of meat you would be malnourished within four months. There's a reason vegans are importing a wide variety of berries, special grains, etc year round and STILL slamming supplements. And still being malnourished.

Did you know it is nearly impossible to raise a healthy human being from birth to adulthood on a vegan diet? The majority of them end up stunted.

I also know that eating from the animal kingdom is essential to human health and maximizes the efficiency of plant based agriculture because there are very nutritious animals that can recycle the parts of plants we can't digest into something we can.

There are only the right and the dead. Vegans are a fragile memetic subspecies. A subhuman one, even. Their basis is ultimately a false faith in imaginary magic. Their successors will eat bugs, birds, and mutant salmon.

            Anonymous

They can be. Ideology encompasses a great deal of made up nonsense, originally invented as religion/magical thinking, and sadly, lumps it in together with rational thought such as "health and efficiency take priority to increase the success of our species. those who disagree will simply die out later.".

            So "ideological purposes" encompasses
            >all animals have souls and can suffer and we shouldn't hurt them because causing suffering is bad and that makes you bad no i refuse to convert to hinduism the rest of the way that would be too inconvenient. suffering is bad. inflicting suffering is bad. if you wouldn't hurt yourself, you wouldn't hurt an animal, because acting consistently is good. why? because IT. JUST. IS. ARRRRGH *frothing*
            as well as
            >there are only the right and the dead. we must eliminate the consumption of inefficient to produce red meats and reduce meat consumption to only what is needed because all forms of animal crops are less resource efficient than plant alternatives, and to reduce the impact of industrial agriculture, begin growing animal crops in residential areas, because although they are not as resource efficient, they are more space efficient, and the rearing of fish, fowl, insects can be performed in and around dwellings.

              Anonymous

Animal crops are essential for human health and quick and efficient recycling of waste materials from plant crops tbh but if we only had them for those purposes rather than just meeting demand at any cost (such as massive amounts of subsidized corn and soi that would be way more expensive if the state wasn't fricking with the market...), meat would be so scarce and expensive that most people would only be able to afford 1 stringy chicken breast from a non-producing laying hen a week. Anything cheaper would be bugs that ate manure and things that were too rotten or toxic to the birds.

That's about as much as you actually need of course but the violent tendies rebellion would be hilariously unjustified

I don't give a frick about the success of my species. Nothing is rational about caring about your species. I do want to reproduce, if I'd make it a priority the ''''''''rational'''''''' course of action would be working at a sperm bank and sneaking in my own cum. Women won't like it but who cares, I'm just acting in accordance to Darwin's theory of evolution.

I've seen this argument in debate class as a great example of a straw man and ad hominem combination, where rather than addressing the argument, someone simultaneously addresses an entirely different argument while pretending they are talking to someone less respectable by making unfounded allegations in a passive aggressive manner.

        ie:
        >Yes, mr. obama, we all know that if you were not the son of an islamic terrorist and actively plotting the dissolution of the constitution, you would be all for prioritizing the safety and security of the american people.

We cannot get full nutrient density from plant matter, we also cannot subside entirely off of animal matter.

All we need to do is assure that the prey we consume is done so with a dispatch that is as painless as can be. If you have qualms on this, seek either a religious figure of your choice or restrict your own diet. If you dispatch your own prey, then you have extra bragging rights.
