Rabbits always make me crack up when their being held by someone untrained, the violent kicking and thrashing is so over the top.

Most birds I've strangled didn't like it much.

My cat doesn't kill toads for some reason.
      Maybe they smell bad.

No. Every spring I can hear their songs. I even find some in my yard when I let the grass get tall enough.

I started leaving my porch light on at night a couple years ago because I noticed the toads were hanging out and eating errant beetles and moths.
Every year I have more toads.
This year is a little ridiculous, they're everywhere.
Pretty sure this guy was a buddy from last year.

Actually spotted a frog in my cellar a few weeks back. Left him a little dish of water but can't seem to coax him out from under old gardening equipment. Everyone once in a while I spot him when I go down there, but he hides pretty quickly.
The weirdest part is there aren't really any nearby bodies of water that he could've come from. No neighbours have ponds and the nearest river is a couple of miles away. Genuinely baffling how he found his way in. Wouldn't mind sending him somewhere more suited but he's too skittish to catch without spending hours digging through everything.

Put a large bucket filled up 1/3rd ways with water and put some sort of ramp up to the rim. Hopefully he'll climb in and get stuck in the bucket. Then you can take him to a pond or something.

Pic rel is what im thinking, minus the roller.

It's unlikely that the frog will climb the stick, their movement is very unprecise and not suitable for similar platforms. A simple water dish would do the job though

Yeah but then how do you keep it in the dish when you want to relocate him?

You attract it with a dish and catch it with a net

Haven't seen a wild frog or toad in a decade.
I heard one Two years ago but couldn't find it.

      >Move next to a stream over the winter
      >Expect a shitload of frogs
      >Instead find multiple generations of snapping turtles and metric assload of watersnakes
Well that explains the lack of frogs.
