i walk my neighbours/friends dog sometimes, and i have a fillet knife in case some dog goes mental, long and sharp, but probably will break when used in panic.

just get a handgun if you're that worried, taking on a berserk pibble with a knife seems a little retarded

If you were a pit bull and tasked with attacking a human armed with a knife do you think you'd last even 10 seconds?

I'm always armed. Even when doing garden work I'm still armed.
Odin said that a man should always be armed, I'm no pagan larper but I think he was onto something.

I have literally never thought even for a second about arming myself when I leave home.

As long as you don’t treat it like a confidence booster and actually fucking train with your weapon it will only make you safer. Sois, retards, thugs, and women can’t really benefit from it.

Exactly this approach. Assume everyone is more armed and better trained than you are, even though that is probably not the case, pretend like it is and get ready for an event I hope you never experience.

Or one I hope you do, like getting to dome a charging pitbull and watch the owner sperg out knowing they have no legal out and they’re suspect #1 if anything happens to you. Score one for the BC/AS master race ja!

I have not had to use a weapon to defend myself. I have used them to deter men far larger than me rushing me. I was surprised how calm I stayed through the whole thing. Calculating how to line up around everything. Time stood still. Stay based in reality.

        >Gets shot by "mostly peaceful migrants"
        >Gets invaded by russia, US decides they're not giving free guns out anymore
        >Gets invaded again by the time traveling finnish army
        >Then gets shot again for not accepting the NWO
The portion of America I enjoy has the gun crime rate of norway. Just avoid, yknow, those things. They commit a disproportionate amount of violent crime no matter how well they're raised and show no signs of being so dangerous until one day they just decide to throw civility to the wind and do something terrible.

        Oh and yeah, the pitbulls.

Self-defense in Canada can get you in serious trouble.

Oddly enough I felt more unsafe walking the streets at night in France and Italy.

You can't even defend yourself against a pitbull? Then again, trudeau does believe in peace through fellatio and has described himself as a dog lover...

The law is stupid and convoluted. Basically you cannot carry around some objects without clear intent, and this intent can't be "to use against people" no matter the reason. If you have a baseball bat in your car, then you must be going to a game. Bear spray? Must be going hiking.

So there's no 'real' reason to be carrying bear spray in the city for example because there are no bears or cougars there. However, most cops aren't going to charge you for using pepper spray on an assailant so at least there's that..

This is what happens when your laws are written by cushy people in privileged positions. Trudeau's a gay, yes, but he's not at all a minority within his class of people. I'd say even Canadians in general, or at least those who live in cities, tend to be limp-wristed.

I carry a cheap switchblade and a glawk 43 in the summer and a morakniv and my H&K USP 45 in the winter. No one is messing with my collie type wife.

Only recently because my new qt3.14 latina neighbor has an intact male pibble. The dog seems chill but who knows if/when it'll snap. My city is cucked with knife laws at a maximum legal length of 2.5''. I carry pic related because I value my life and the life of my dog. It's only 4'' but I think it's a happy medium between "compliance" and being able to defend myself. Regardless, I'm getting a firearm next year when I can afford it. The world keeps getting more and more dangerous. What do you carry OP? Or is this just another shill thread that I fell to?
