why are you putting a shitbull next to an American flag when the most American (republican) states ban pitbulls?

here have a pitbull that better represents the political leanings of people that oppose BSL. the people that want pitbulls unbanned also want guns banned btw.

I grew up with a Pit bull/Rottweiler and I was only bitten once, due to my stupid kid brain thinking it was a good idea to take her toys while she had it in her mouth. I would never recommend them to the average owner just because of how shit the owners themselves are. My friend ignored my warnings and his pit bull, a female spayed apbt, brutally attacked his neighbors shih tzu when his neighbor's fence fell one night. The dog had no prior history of violence, aside from a raccoon kill.

I have seen many dogs that could be around children but would mercilessly kill small animals like they were giant cats but never one that could not be around either unless it was severely broken and was going to eventually bite an adult.

It's a label you normally see on wolfdogs and really fricked up german shepherds.

normies think eating cats makes a dog bad lmao. imagine putting down a cat for eating your pet rat. do they not understand that the foodchain doesn't stop existing indoors? there is nothing wrong with a dog eating a cat, it's just a sign that they know how to feed ourselves. small cats are naturally prey for us, and are eaten anywhere they coexist with larger predators, even larger cats. it's not like a dog is dangerous for eating a cat. they definitely know that a cat is not a person, it's basically a large pointy squirrel.

this is the strangest fricking larp. Dogs usually dont kill and eat cats

          Anonymous

          Yeah they do?
          >American doesn't know that dogs extend beyond retrievers and herding dogs
Pretty much all other dogs will kill and eat cats if they still have their predatory instincts. All sight hounds, sled dogs, terriers will, and the majority of other hounds and pointers. Cats are not their peers in nature, they are decidedly inferior, prey animals. Most of a cats fastidious and antisocial behavior is in fact there because they are actively hunted by everything larger than them, from other cats to hyenas, jackals, and wild dogs. You can even socialize these dogs with cats, and rather than becoming totally cat friendly, they will just spare one particular cat and eat the rest. Cats are actually a preferred prey animal apparently valued for their taste and an easy hunt, because coyotes will pursue them over other food sources, just like jaguars prefer dogs for their taste and how easy it is to catch them.

This is totally irrelevant to how safe a dog is. Many highly prey driven dogs are incapable of going into hunt mode over anything on two legs. It's a major defect that they are summarily put down for without any excuses or whining. Terriers and wolfdogs are the exception, they aggressively pursue almost everything as prey, including people, which is why terriers are usually small, but some prey drive for small furry four legged animals is useful, not a fault, in a larger dog.

The idea that dogs and cats are buddies or that dogs are even inferior and submissive to cats is a cultural thing at odds with reality, created by generations of golden retriever and german shepherd owners. Dogs were originally domesticated to hunt and control vermin and the majority of dog breeds retain this function, and cats are indistinguishable from vermin except to humans who use them as displacement vermin - replacing a pest that directly harms us with one that does not harm us at all.

people need to be aware of this before any more morons get their cats killed and then murder their dog for doing its job. ofc they will cope instead, especially the cat worshipping lunatics, who dont seem to be cognizant of their rat worshipping equals two threads down

dogs and cats are natural enemies. never assume a mutt or any dog that is not bred specifically to be safe for other animals can be friends with your cat. if you have a cat it does not matter if you think borzoi are cool. get a retriever. like if every toddler owner avoided pitbulls we would all be better off.

                Who cares what thirdies do

But addressing your larp, dogs arent vermin in human countries because we have them controlled. Until outdoor cat culture dies overnight, cats will retain their vermin status. If nonhuman primates like russians go around attacking dogs that is not our concern. It’s just animals being animals. They aren’t people. They have had thousands of years to create clean societies and barely outdid chimps.

                >from the beginning of time
Dogs were domesticated before the first civilizations to help our ancestors survive. They were never vermin.

The degenerates started to hate them because they lost the cognitive skills needed to live with them, while those that continued evolving to become more human always cared for them.

Cats on the other hand function as displacement vermin. Rats spread fatal diseases to us, cats just annoy us. Cats displace the rats, we win.

there are no stray dogs in human dominated areas. empathy and the ability to plan for the future preclude their existence. it costs $0 to not have stray dogs and not much to get rid of the problem so it doesn’t come back. of course, it’s a cooperative effort. nonhumans are impulsive, do not work together on a societal scale, cant think of the future, and prefer continuous cruelty over decisive extermination.

see: no strays in most of the northern US, so many strays in the deep south that northern shelters import them.

its true though. most breeds will, and its an intentional trait. as long as you don’t count small dogs. many breeds there, like 10 variations on what looks like a walking mop head. putting a dog down for hunting cats is moronic.

Not in England. Cats are a sacred animal there. You can’t adopt one if you won’t let it roam and dogs that impede the travel of cats are killed.

It sure would be a shame if someone in london figured out the tylenol tuna trick but seeing as it’s a muslim country now it aint happening. They also worship cats and hate dogs but on the basis of two made up stories about a bloodthirsty pedophile, not cultural trauma following a wave of plague deaths caused by rats getting ballsy in the cats absence.

I've grown up with multiple labs, a retriever, a great dane and a KCKspaniel/German spitz mix and none over them ever attacked the cats we had. The great dane was even introduced at age 3 to cats for the first time when we got my dead great grandfather's 19 year old Siamese and they got along just fine.
Domesticating animals reduces aggression and killing instinct, crazy huh?

Congrats on cherry picking the 3 most docile breeds on earth. Pretty much everything else is either aggressive or prey driven. Between the more athletic hounds and large spitzes you have over half of all large dogs and they’re all a risk to smaller non-dog non-human animals. And that IS how they are meant to be. I would still put the pitbull down though, for being a pitbull. If prey drive is even sort of triggered by any human you shoot that dog. They do know the difference.

This is an excellent example of pitbull prey drive. They don't really show many signs they're in hunt mode like literally every other prey driven dog. They just walk up and bite stuff.

And their prey drive can be triggered by adult humans.

70% of dog attacks is news to me. Yikes.

I see the numbers are inflated but there are inflated proportionately based on the breed tape and classification rather than a soul breed when you have Pitbulls that’s not just one free that is a broad classification is not so bright after all it covers bowl tape terriers excluding the Boston terrier and micro exotic bully much the reason it exclusions to is due to them being toy breeds I’ve been bred down significantly from their original forms
