CWD

Incurable, can stay in ground for 12 years, requires extreme high heat to break down, etc. So chronic wasting disease has the potential to make deer extinct?

Also created by the park service, as all fuck ups in American "conservation" have been.

It has the potential to REQUIRE total cervid death because it can cross the species barrier and transmits through feces, not just infected meat. As in, you choose. Environmental sameness, or human survival. Like when the US eradicated malaria in the south at the cost of massive environmental damage. Will cervine vermine we have captive breeding stocks for be treated fondly? The forests will change. We can keep predators on life support with livestock.

And furbaby dog mommy rescue cunts are bringing visceral leishmaniasis to the US because they think despite all our dogs, we totally need to rescue some third world strays

I guess insecticides could solve the last two, but cats transmitting mosquitoborne rabies could require the testing and euthanasia of infected cats just because of how serious it could be. But CWD can only be solved by the total eradication of forest ungulates.

Go outside and take a picture of a deer. Your children won't see them until they're geriatric, or dying from residual CWD.

No, it isn't. Rabies spreads via saliva and blood contact. A mosquito doesn't transmit blood to you. It uses it to make babies with. The only spit going into you is from the mosquito itself. And while a mosquito can pass a ton of shit to you, it cannot transmit rabies to you. Not even if it was feeding off an infected animal.

Where does it say that? An imported dog can be for breeding purposes.

It has the potential to make deer and anything that may share habitat with them (such as free range livestock) inedible and cut the lives of pet dogs short if they merely… lick the ground.

So the cure is factory farmed meat only and never going into the woods, or exterminating deer and leaving them gone for 12 years.

There's no evidence that dogs can catch it, or humans for that matter.
The weird thing is that dogs CAN sniff out chronic wasting disease and distinguish ground tainted by CWD from ground that's free of it.

The solution is to genetically modify it to create a weak version. Then spray it by plane over all the forests.

But there is no such thing as a weak prion.

Wat, oh fuk. Then new plan that'll cost a lot more, get the common cold for deer then genetically modify it to use RNA and rewrite that specific type of prion.

Apparently the incubation period for it is about as long as it takes for a white tail to reach sexual maturity, so while its a problem for them they could probably outbreed the losses
