Who the fuck cares what they feel? Did they ask how I feel? No.

I'm hungry and I will eat them, because I can. If they were hungry and found a way to kill me, they would be the ones eating me. It's nature. Stop being a fucking pussy.

all living creatures are able to feel negative or harmful stimuli
    >inb4 someone starts screeching about they rip their own legs off
they do that because its better than dying 90% of the time, most animals will gnaw their legs off if it gets caught in a trap to escape, just because crabs can do faster and easier doesnt mean they dont feel it
the real question is where do you draw the line, id kill them before cooking them because i wouldnt want to be boiled alive, just as much as i wouldnt cook any animal alive and why halal meat is inhumane

The limb thing at least suggests they don't feel pain the same way we do, the fact they tear it off voluntarily so effortlessly definitely means that specific action isn't as painful as it would be for us. Still, if I were to rip its limb off they would still try to escape, so they definitely perceive the negative stimuli.
I don't get why they can't just kill them right before plunging them in?

well can crabs get an adrenaline rush? humans are surprising resistant to pain when high on endorphins and crabs apparently have opioid receptors so theyll react to morphine and stuff, they probably wont feel it for a while, or whatever theyre feeling is literally beyond our comprehension

        >I don't get why they can't just kill them right before plunging them in?
My guess is that it's hard to do that due to their anatomy without making a mess.

Plants also feel pain and communicate that pain to each other. So stay away from salads.

      >Do they feel pain when you boil them alive?
      Yes
Just kill them swiftly before boiling them. Spare them useless suffering.

apply that retarded reductionism to your diet, gay.

        Probably.
This is the best approach. Just kill them before you boil them. If they do feel pain (in any way), it spares them from it. If they don't, then you've just killed them before boiling them to death
