have you ever seen the video "Manul Sonnie"? So yes, you can BUT it'll probably be not as nice as a normal house cat doebeit

I dont know senpai, they look kinda aggressive like floppa, I would check with a zookeeper or someone who works with them, maybe if you have one since it's a kitten you may be able to make it friendly.

I've heard that you will run out of skin before they get tired of flaying it off you

They are not that big actually.
Your average manul is a bit smaller than your average house cat, and weighs less.

Don't think they're very tolerant of different climates. They're susceptible to getting sick and disease. Immune systems are kinda bad.

I'd like to hug one precisely because of how grumpy they are. You can tell they'd be all squirmy and scratchy but the truth is I'm much bigger and stronger than them and they can't really stop me from hugging them, eventually they will accept my superiority and meekly acquisce to my hug.

Yeah you can keep any cat as a pet. It's just a matter of danger to (you) because of its size. Cats all same. As long as it isn't big enough to mame/kill you it can be done, and even then even if it is, it has been done successfully and not ALL of the owners were eventually killed by their cat.
Pallas cats are not large enough for that.

I don't want to own one, but I like them because of their stocky form, their expressive faces, and the way they're adapted to living in high mountain regions.

      They're cute and expressive.
But it's certainly a bad idea to own one.

they're kinda goofy looking. They're fluffy, round, have unusually long fangs, and unique pupils that stay round instead of becoming slits when they contract.

It's only due to gravity. It would be completely round if it lived in deep space.

You're probably right, I bet I could hug one too, although probably not a perfectly spherical deep space one, because I sadly cannot live in deep space.
