Hey OP if it's a juvenile and you have raised it you really may not be able to release it, this happens often with birds. The best thing you can do is get in touch with some bird rehab specialists, join a forum with actual bird rehab people and get some help. Ideally local people, since they will obviously know your local birds better. But you could even just make a reddit throwaway or something, and explain your situation on some bird forums.

This way, if you do have to give it up, you also know what you're dealing with and won't just release it if that's a bad idea.. It could be a death sentence if its instincts have not developed properly. You may be able to give it to someone who is equipped to take care of it.

If it is a fledgling like people are saying, then you may be surprised that its behavior changes soon. They become more independent and start to get stressed out when they hit their "teenage" period usually. So you should get started trying to get some answers.

Ah yes the time of year where people steal fledglings and ask/ an/ what to do with them.

      >but im worried hes not gonna fully dev
if he made to that stage he's gonna dev, don't worry.

      >and been giving him a diet of quinoa and garbanzo
garbanzo? mashed I supposed. Water it a big if you think he's not eating.

afaik the lack of mom won't cause problems learning to fly, these birbs instinctively take off with ease despite nesting in the weirdest places.

      >steal
these birds have a big tendency to just fall of the nest on their own.
