Bullfights should not be banned. In the arena this animal at least has a chance to fight back and kill its abusers.

Too much handicaps makes bullfighting bullshit.

If the bull wasnt harmed before the fight and could only be attacked by the torero then i would be fine with it. Also im not sure about how it is now but there should be a time limit.

    Bullriding is cool though.

Only if the bulls aren't allowed to be harmed and humans can be killed.

    >In the arena this animal at least has a chance to fight back and kill its abusers.
While true, that chance is approximately 50.000 : 1.
Boxers have a five times higher chance to die in the ring than bullfighters do. Formula One drivers have a fifty times higher risk of death in a race than a bullfighter does in the arena.
I don't object to bullfighting (even if I'm not interested) since as others have said, fighting bulls ultimately lead better lives than the bulls whose meat I consume on a regular basis, but the odds are stupidly stacked.

    >They get killed even if they win
That's fricking moronic. We should let them live in retirement and breed winners together to make a new breed of bull specifically for gladiator combat.

    kek

that's not how it works. They won't be killed in factory farms because nobody is going to breed fighting bulls if they can't fight them.

the alternatives are suffering or not existing at all. Just like for every other living thing on the planet.

While I don't like the sport, the fighting bull is a beautiful and genetically valuable breed, if the sport is abolished the estates where they are raised should be turned into nature preserves where the bulls are raised free range in order to bolster ecotourism and land restoration.

the bulls don't choose to participate in a bullfight. there are plenty of ways to kill an animal for food without torturing it.

The bulls they kill in the ring are much luckier than the ones we kill for food. They live way longer and have a much better quality of life. If they win enough times they even get to retire on a sunny ranch, chew grass and frick cows all day long. Their consent isn't coming into the picture no matter what happens to them. I'm sure they'd rather not be slaughtered in the first place.

        >The bulls they kill in the ring are much luckier than the ones we kill for food
That doesn't mean much. They still live horribly and die horribly. Banning bull fighting stops people from breeding these animals and putting them under such conditions.

If the land used to rear fighting bulls was instead used for eating bulls then bullfighting is the lesser evil if we care about animal welfare and banning it would do more harm than good. Frankly, I don't think we have a moral high ground against bull fighting as meat eaters. Maybe if you're one of those guys who slaughters all their own meat. But if you buy factory farmed beef you are signing off on an industry that treats bulls much shittier than any matador.

The bulls in bullfighting live a much more free life and get far, far more respect than the cow that got turned into your dinner last week. But as usual animal-rights group cucks have to target this over ‘animal abuse’ while ignoring the insects in China that actually torture animals for no reason.

Yeah but why do they need to stab its back until it collapses from pain

Tradition. From the time before we cared about animal suffering. Provoking it with pain probably makes for a better show too. Hard to justify in isolation, even if it's better than being factory farmed. They skin dogs alive at those meat festivals in China because it allegedly tastes better when the dog dies flooded with adrenaline. Torturing bulls for pleasure isn't any better. Arguably it's worse; at least you eat the dog.
