Yep, fyi the eggs latch in to peoples luggage and travel from place to place.
I lived in a hostel for a year and bed bugs came back so often they had to fumigate several times a month.

    BRO
    VACATE THE PREMISES IMMEDIATELY
    THIS IS NOT A DRILL
When you inevitably bring them back to your house, skip all the pesticides and bullshit and just go straight for heat treatment. A man brings a hose into your house and pumps it full of 150-degree hot air. Kills bedbugs dead, destroys their eggs, one treatment and done.

Doesn't really look like bed bugs.
Bed bugs are rounder and bigger.
Adult bed bugs do get longer when they're engorged with blood, try squishing one, if it's full of blood, then bad news.
Or get a better picture up close.

Clothes can be saved by washing hot and then through heater -- the problem is bed bugs can hide in electronics, and shoes. Really, bed bug was never a huge problem before when most of us live in houses -- this is only going to get worse.

It was actually way way worse back then, we've been unwillingly cultivating them forever. One of the reasons we've never put out the effort to eradicate them is that they don't carry any diseases and don't pose any real danger.
