hitler ordered every white furred german shepherd to be exterminated. the real reason was they could give away troops positions.

Not necessarily, people that dogs love are pretty universally great though.

Generaly people treat animals how they want to treat people. If they beat their dogs into submition, they probably want to do the same to their family.
If they take care of the animal and try to give them a happy life, they are a good person.

People who don't love dogs are probably psychopathic and subhuman. They disgust me.

      >only elected president who didn't like dogs in recent memory was a corrupt con artist who spent his whole term creating an unstable stock market bubble so his friends (like George Karfunkel) could cash out ahead of a recession
I'll give polk and lincoln a pass because they were too busy conquering land to take care of any animals

Lincoln grew up as a poor sharecropper, he probably wasn't overly sentimental about them. He did start the tradition of the president pardoning a turkey for thanksgiving because his son got attached to the one they were planning on eating that year and begged them not to kill it.

Well my dad doesn't treat animals with respect, and he doesn't do the same for anyone else. He's an abusive narcissist.

Depends on why they have dogs. 3 main kinds of doggay around and they are not very similar.
First are regular dogbros. They don't really care about the breed and are fine just having a companion. Generally speaking, these are good people. More friendly and willing to help.
Second group are the dogs as tools weirdos who you constantly see here but belong in n Wauf it /k/ instead of an. They'll kill a dog that doesn't obey correctly and are extremely concerned about the breed. These people usually kind of suck. Often trolls and almost always narcissistic as frick (Putin is certainly one)
And the third type are the dogfrickers. They are weird. Nothing much else to say about those freaks

      >They don't really care about the breed
Bullshit. We care. I don't want a dog that has an instinctive drive to kill children. I don't want a dog that drools constantly. I don't want a dog that naturally stinks or has a high maintenance coat that basically mops shit off the ground. I don't want a dog that's mentally ill suffers from eternal pica and hunger. Etc.

So you can keep your pitbull-lab-mastiff-poodle mix in the shelter, thanks.

Considering putin's personal life I think he loves dogs more than people

      >Yume (2012–present)
      >Yume, a 3-month-old female Akita puppy, arrived in Moscow from Tokyo, Japan, in July 2012, as the Akita Prefecture's gift
      >In 2016, the Japanese government offered Putin a male Akita puppy as a companion for Yume, but this gift was declined.[

You have a husky, don't you?

I have a generic yellow furred medium sized mutt with half-floppy ears. They don't drool, stink, need monthly grooming, bark incessantly, or eat random houseplants.

No husky alive today is going to be up to this standard without being mixed with other breeds, unless it comes straight out of siberia or alaska where they're all glorified street mutts.

That's an odd categorization. The ones who don't care about the breed are good people, while the ones who care are not? I don't see how that makes sense. Dog owners should understand the breeds they own and care about their working purpose. They should try to give their dog the kind of a lifestyle that dog was bred for. A person who doesn't research the breed they own doesn't sound like a good dog owner to me.

Either way, whether you love or hate dogs isn't an indicator of what kind of a person you are.
Someone who loves dogs might love them so much that they become a misanthrope and consider dogs more important than humans. They might become a hoarder and end up with so many dogs that they can't take care of them all properly. They might cover up bite incidents out of fear that their dogs would get taken away and euthanized. They might bring aggressive dogs into public spaces and put other people in danger.
Someone who hates dogs might hate them because they were bitten by one. They might live in a location where feral dogs shit everywhere, spread diseases, kill livestock and attack people. They might have lost a loved one in a dog attack.

Even if you love dogs, there are plenty of ways you might end up causing harm to either dogs or other people. And even if you hate dogs, that's not a bad thing if you simply avoid them instead of trying to hurt them.
Loving or hating dogs isn't the litmus test for being a good person. How you treat other people and animals is what matters.

A lot of the time, the life a dog was bred for is bad for them. Your average hound was meant to hunt but is going to be happier just doing normal dog stuff.

Hunting is "normal dog stuff", though.

Just like your average human was meant to hunt, gather and experience the outside world but is going to be "happier" doing "normal" human stuff like being stuffed with seed oils and playing video games

        SMASHED

2nd category, except theyre being used as a tool to make money rather than a tool for work.
Wouldn't be surprised if some of those dogs aren't put down when they aren't born SMASHED and SLAMMED enough
