I hate hearing stupid people entertain stupidly obviois jokes as literal as though their thoughts had any merit.
you’ve got to be one if the stupidest motherfrickers if you genuinely consider it a possibility that cephalopods are aliens.
you are on par with people who browse /x/ in terms of your capacity for intelligent thought.

yes, but only in the same way that the earth itself is from space

    >Hawaiian mythology states that the world exists in cycles
    >World is created, and world ends, rinse and repeat
    >Also Octopuses are from one of the previous existing world
    >No extra details beyond that, what this world was, what it means, or any other "survivors" from this world
    >Simply that Octopuses are from the last world
Honestly a small detail but it stands out for how strange it is.

I wish they were. Unfortunately every species and organic something-or-another ever studied on Earth have had the same four nucleic acids. So we know they're from Earth.

If aliens ever happen to visit us I wouldn't be surprised to see them look like squids. They have the potential, they just can't live long enough.

To be able to reach us in physical form aliens would have to break literally all laws of physics as we know them now

The distances are physically impossible for organic life to travel, short of breaking modern physics. They would need to circumvent time dilation somehow to break C

The closest galaxy is 25 thousand lightyears away, even at half c it would take 50,000 years to get there. Anything living there wouldnt even know we exist short of measurement and/or travel methods that break modern physics.

Maybe they're already in our galaxy.

Statistically unlikely, and even then ourbgalaxy is still 1000 light years from side to side.

And btw who knows how much of what they tell us about space is actual bs, we probably don't even know most of the fricky shit going on in our solar system.

Yeah if you assume literally everything they've discovered and/or claimed is bs I guess we don't know anything, really makes you think

You might have forgotten to precise that you're basing yourself on the limited understanding of the laws of physic and space travel technology that we currently have. What we have deemed impossible with absolute certainty throughout History has often been accomplished. Science isn't set in stone and made to evolve and change. Chances are there are simpler ways to do it and we're just not advanced enough as a species.

I mean, the original post was claiming that aliens wouldn't really be that impressive. What I'm saying is that in order to even see them, they'd have to break all laws of physics as we know them, so they'd be really fricking impressive, akin to gods even.

If they have the technology for interstellar space travel they can probably find out enough bioengineering to handle that. Or they could simply reproduce on the ship.

In english grammar the noun is usually the subject of the sentence.
                In this case,
                >[linking verb] [noun] [adjective]
Admit that you just saw a word and it triggered your /x/ autism.
