    >Spontaneously appears on bread and almost every form of food
    >Pretty much impossible for it not to appear on bread after a certain period of time, Fungai are that embeded into the foodchain
Fungai that can tolerate the human body temperature and immune system when?

they already do. people get fungal infections all the time.

human cordyceps probably wouldn't do anything major because humans are so dense and social already that it would do fine just sprouting from the skin like mushroom acne, living in hair follicles or something.

So this is how the fungi takeover. Not with a zombie apocalypse, but with a bad case of dandruff.

Don't Cordyceps target muscles and not the brain? So, it is not really mind control but body control while mind is still intact.

        I belief it.
For a non toxic alternative, you have Amanita ceasaria. The name comes from it being a mushroom fit for a king.
Found some in Poland once, but wasn't confident enough IDing them from memory and had no book or internet.
Had Amanita muscaria though. Easily a top 3 mushroom.
        Would add chanterelles and parasol

I used to live in a place where these grew wild and I always looked forward to foraging for them with friends and then just frying a whole pile of them up.
