Any of you have any experience with pet trackers?

Any of you have any experience with pet trackers? I know I could get them microchipped, but that's not really a tracker. I need something small enough that it won't encumber an average-sized cat.

It's not really the cat himself I'm trying to track, but when he gets stressed out he ditches his collar, and combined with his tag and his rabies vaccination tag they're expensive to replace. As it is I'm going to have to comb the neighborhood with a flashlight. This is the third time he's done, he just wears the collar for my benefit, but every time the second he gets into a fight he ditches his collar.

Indoor cats are such a moronic meme, like keeping your dog in a "crate" (cage). Why are burgers so neurotic about animals? If you aren't confining your pet in the smallest possible space they have a meltdown.

Augment your fencing so he can’t escape your yard. One, other people are not obligated to provide your cat with a toilet for his toxic waste turds. Two, cars move faster than cats can dodge. Three, poisoned rats, rat poison, hungry dogs, and antifreeze puddles aren’t there with your cat in mind but it’s only a matter of time before it happens because people aren’t obligated to sculpt their life around abandoned pets.

keep your bird murdering hairball machine in the house

He was a stray, someone else abandoned him because he's completely docile and non-aggressive. He has a litterbox. He shits inside. The neighborhood is lousy with strays, he likes to go outside because that's where he was before I started feeding him. If I could keep him inside 24 hours without him being depressed and feeling trapped I would.

Just put angled wire or a PVC roller on top of your fence so he does not escape. You know dog owners are meant to invest in taller fences even for harmless chihuahua mutts? Be like that.

fricking lmao. women are unironically even worse for this. their high emotionality makes them seethe at everything and they're incapable of bantering without taking shit as a personal attack.

in fact, that's probably one of the big differences between Wauf and most other boards. you can't really joke around with people here because they just get upset and seethe.
i guess women and autists are more likely to be interested in animals so that makes sense

It didn't used to be like this about everything though. I've been on Wauf since practically day one. For a long time the only thing people were hostile about on this particular board was people asking for medical advice about their pet, and even then the response was just "Take it to a vet you stupid poorgay!" Now there's threads about animal torture, threads advocating the destruction of certain breeds or entire species, it's just gotten so moronic.

I can only imagine it's one of two things, either it's all some insanely autistic dweeb who has to personalize everything and because x bad thing happened to him all y are bad. For example "One time I slipped on a banana peel, therefor all bananas are gay and stupid and if you eat them you need to die!" That's literally the attitude I see people project about every fricking topic here. Pitbulls, cats, it's so patently moronic and they know none of their arguments hold up to scrutiny but they're so dug in. It's always some defensive autist response like "Well, maybe it's just that the thing you like is bad and you should die for liking it!" like that even comes close to a justification. The second option is that it's all the same people. The tone is always exactly the same. Whatever the thing is, it needs to be destroyed in a pointlessly cruel way and everyone who disagrees needs to be genocided. It's entirely too fricking moronic for it not to either be the work of one autist or an organized group.

        Try this:
Keep your fricking cat inside, and ask it every day if it feels depressed or trapped.
If it ever says "Yes" then you can let it go outside.
Without that, you are just projecting what YOU feel onto the unthinking beast.
And that's stupid, and not fair to the cat.

See? Perfect example of an autistically aggressive post. You have to pretend you think cats literally talk. Normal people with empathy and a basic human grasp of behavior can look at a fricking animal and get a general idea what it's feeling. "Oh, he's less playful and outgoing. He stays seated by the front door and cries. Whenever I approach he paws at the door asking to be let out."

Now, you're not capable of actual human discourse and have zero fricking intention of it, you just want to ramp up the aggression because you're sub-human filth and that's your real intent, so you'll probably respond rather than toning it down and acting like a normal fricking person pretend to misinterpret the meaning of the image attached to this post taking it literally like a fricking low-functioning autistic would.

Hi, the actual anon you initially replied to. Since you're clearly autistic I'll explain everything to you in simple terms for someone stupid who doesn't understand human emotions like yourself.

Animals get depressed just like humans. They mourn, they miss things, they throw tantrums. This doesn't mean they're literally 1:1 experiencing human emotions. It doesn't mean they're having complex scenarios in their head, but their intelligence is on par with that of a human child in some regards, and in others far beyond that. When people use human terms to describe them they're not literally saying that's exactly what the animal is doing/feeling, they're putting it in human terms to make it easier to understand and add an element of humor. When someone for example observes their male dog particularly likes to play with a neighbor's female dog and they say "Ahhh, I see he's off to go see his girlfriend." they're not literally suggesting the dogs have entered into a formal relationship you complete idiot, they're relating it in human terms because it's an animal approximation. Dogs literally wear their emotions on their face, they have the same muscles around their eyes humans do, they're actually better at understanding what humans are feeling than they are other dogs. Cats lack those muscles, which is why people describe them as more mysterious looking because their face doesn't instantly give away their emotions.

Humans are at the end of the day animals. Of course in many ways we're more complex, but it comes from the same place.

Your reaction is you coping with the fact that you lack the ability to see what's obvious to every other human on Earth.
